Couturier is supposedly listed at 197 pounds by the draft guys. If he can put on about 10 pounds I think he may be able to play in the NHL next season.

I will preface this by saying that I really have no idea about any of these players. Prospects are not my deal. But it does make sense to add a blue chip defensive prospect when they now have Schenn and Giroux.

I agree with you. For whatever reason the Flyers have had much more success developing forwards than D-men. They went best available. Hard to fault them with that.

I don't think Toronto has the players and prospects to try and get Malkin.

We should have enough cap room to sign a decent young UFA D-man. Not worried about Homer skipping one in the first round if we have a bad track record in D development.
