Excellent. I can't wait to see what this young team will do. Any news on if Staal will be staying with the team or be sent down? I would like to see him stay. |

The team was leaning towards sending Staal back to his junior team, but he has been playing very strong lately. He was even bumped up to the second line later in the game against Carolina Saturday night. Ryan Malone was demoted to the 4th. We will see if their opinion has changed at all, but nothing is official yet... |

Wow, if the no-talent Leafs can score 6 against Brodeur, imagine what Malkin and Crosby can do. 14-2 Pens. |

That's it, judge a goalie by one night! I guess alot of leaf fans have been judging raycroft by the 6-0 shutout of Ottawa. Unfortunately goalies have to play 60+ games not just one leafs fans!

Isn't fun to watch Brodeur minus 1. the trap 2. stevens & 3. neidermayer??? Looks pretty ordinary to me.
Looking forward to seeing this kid Malkin, but I get the feeling injuries could be an issue for him.

I had fun watching him win 43 games and be a finalist for the Vezina last year. ...minus all those things. |

The Canes had a great team last year...29 other teams got lit by the Canes too. Marty Brodeur proved all the doubters wrong last year. Some of the new rules were inforced because of him, he had to adjust, he did, he went on a winning spree, had the most wins in the league, swept the Rangers and was nominated for the Vezina again. Pretty good year if you ask me...
The guy allowed 6 goals in a game!! So what...like that hasn't happened before! I remember Roy giving up 7, 8 and was it 11 vs Detroit? But he's still remembered as the greatest of all time and rightfully so. You don't judge them by one or two games. You judge them by how many Stanley Cup rings they have. Roy finished with 4, Brodeur has 3 and counting.....

Staal, in all liklihood will be sent down. I like his reach & his potential, but his skating needs work. Not to mention, there is a contractural need to send him down. My understanding is that his, Malkin's & Crosby's contract would all come due in the same year if they kept him up, so the math on that is clear. I hope they do keep Letang up though..... |

Devils fans worldwide (all 750 of them) would love to see that happen I'm sure - but it's not going to happen, sorry. |
