Lots depends on the Beard ... he’s been training, if he’s good to go changes the dynamics of the squad. Then pckg NR & Silf or Montour and the 1st or something along those lines and take a run @ EK ... pipeline is full & getting fuller time to use some of those for run @ patches or skinner ... |

Rumor is last years third jersey will be the primary one this year. It has the old Ducks logo too. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
Don't see the Ducks going after EK. Patches or Skinner would work. |

When the Ducks are quiet, that usually means something is going on. NONE of the mid-level management guys have been out to the course since the end of the season, which also leads me to believe they are working on trade related things.
Had to laugh at your comment on Kovlachuk skipping the Ducks, I was GRATEFUL he doesn't want to play here and/or Anaheim is not interested. The dude is 35 years old and he's been screwing around in Russia for 5 years. He's going to want money and term and some idiot GM is going to give it to him, I pray that GM is Blake! |

Kovy is a hard pass for me also ... Ducks need to get and stay younger ... not add age & term... although I’m sure Kovy could light it up for a yr or so ...

I can't believe Blake gave him 3 years, especially with the Doughty situation. |

Typical kings move. They did this with gaborik. Gave way to much money to a declining player. I'd rather not sign anyone than sign a bad contract like that. Or better yet smart bargain moves. Like the signing of derek grant last year. Anyways. That's not where the ducks are. We have prospect depth that we can rely on. That's one thing we have in abundance now after this draft. Young forwards that can fill the bottom lines. Might as well use them. Some might even surprise us.
The draft was meh for me. Was really looking for more upside. But management went with safe picks. So I'm really looking foward to a more open view with bring up players. Because if we don't they will end up being a long jam in San Diego of players and not enough playing time. Maybe they will start sending more players to the ECHL.
And I don't expect to much free agent wise. Bob said he's tring to resign everyone. So we won't have cap space.
On a sad note. Steve konowalchuk was let go. Best of luck steve on your next job. |
