Not sure what DET has to offer back in return for Hanifin. Unless its a 3 way deal deal with TOR and a Nylander comes back to CAR. I can also see Gardiner as part of this deal too. |

Svechkinov's brother could be in the deal. AA, Nyquist, or even #6.
I think Faulk is a more realistic target for Detroit. I said on his crazy trade thread
AA, Nyquist, and #6 for Faulk and #2. Somehow the Svechkinov brothers end up together. |

Larkin pipe dream, but have to wonder the moving parts in a deal like that. |

Don't see Larkin ever being moved, considering he's from Michigan. I'm expecting an 8 year extension for him followed by getting the C when Hank is done (probably next year, LTIR bound). |

Like I said pipe dream. I just don’t see Hanifin being moved without a relatively big piece coming back. Besides Larkin, the only other pieces I could see the Canes wanting are 6OA or Mantha. Honestly I’m not sure either team would particularly like that type of deal though.
But I don’t see Hanifin being moved anyways, DW shot those rumors down in a radio interview a day or two ago. Dundon more or less shot down Skinner/Faulk in a different interview basically saying he expects them on the opening night roster. Could just be blowing smoke, but I expect higher returns on both of them if they’re traded now. Since the owner said that, makes me think DW was just getting a feel for the market on his players. But I only know what I read and hear. |

Pretty much, Detroit also has a long jam of overpaid/old dmen. Have to wonder if they'd somehow include one of those guys in a deal, if anything were to even come of this. |

Larkin is a no go unless Jack Hughes or Rasmus Dahlin is involved. For me at least. He’s not the greatest player around, but he just exudes everything a captain and star player should. |

Why would a rebuilding team trade for Faulk? |

Larkin is our new Zeke, man. We can’t give him up.
Mantha, Svech, 6OA, etc, sure. But not our captain (to be) |

Larkin needs to be a point per game player this season to make him untradeable for me. |

Trading AA, who doesn't seem to be to interested in being in Detroit and/or Nyquist who is probably gone this year anyhow, why not? 26 year old right hand dmen? Obviously he would need a solid partner, but we need defense a lot more than offense. |

Team needs more overall skill than anything.
My thing with Faulk is he will be a UFA by the time this team is ready for the playoffs again. |

Faulk is not the answer. We need Slavin or Bean/Fleury. |
