TSN stole it from Eklund who had an insider that worked as a plumber who fixed the house of a custodian at Canadian Tire Center who overheard someone while going #2 that heard Ottawa would keep their #4 pick.
Essentially, the #4 pick combined with the #2 at the toilet means that Ottawa will land between the #2-4 pick for next year's draft. |

They could be. But not certain they'd be bottom 5 bad, depending on what happens with EK65. And even a lottery pick isn't guaranteed to be better than Zadina. |

Yeah it could be very bad if EK65 is shipped out. The return would have to include some immediate or near-term offensive help both in the top 6 and on D. |

Obviously Ottawa had bigger expectations last year but had pretty much been downward spiral since the Duchene trade.
I wonder if we will see more top-x protected picks going forward after this trade, fairly common in the NBA. For example, STLs pick was top 10 protected this year. |
