Great minds..!
The trick to getting that quick comment in is to completely do away with reading the Blog.

LUV the word “potentially” which u can apply to every team.

First half the tocchet sucks. Is he now all of a sudden a great coach?

He still sucks. I told Tanner that when they hired him and he bashed me and went on about how great he was...then flip flopped for a while...

Strome had 9 points in 21 NHL games and got bounced around being called up and down.

I wouldnt be saying he is some scary 1-2-3 punch with Stepan and Galy (dont even know if he is a true C to be honest)

Yotes are getting there but contenders..come on BFF lets not get silly here

the Coyotes had a decent second half to the season where they went 20-14-7 for the final 41 games. That is a 96 point pace that puts them in the 8th seed.

Actually, it's a 94 point pace, which would have had them 10th.

Don't worry, we know you just copy paste most of these blogs anyways. You guarantee playoffs for Coyotes behind having "one of the best bluelines in the NHL" all the time.

Galchenyuk and Stepan are 1C and 2C andDvorak is 3C, so where does Strome fit? Can he play wing?

A 20 game streak isn't very likely again, but if you look at the season as a whole it balances out. Which is why they play seasons. Also the same reason probabilities and analytics use sample sizes and not small, biased chunks. Any team can have a playoff record for small selective sample sizes, but it doesn't really matter when talking about making the playoffs.

The 20 games lost can't be ignored, it all contributes to the entire season so the Yotes were a 29th place team, or at least in the bottom 5 if you take some kind of luck into account. In any situation there is no evidence that they were close to being a playoff team.

That being said, this season could be entirely different, the growth of players, especially under 25 drastically changes from month to month and with the pieces they have in place I could see them competing.

If no teams in the west make any major improvements, the Yotes have a good shot to make the playoffs. The West was very thin in quality competition this year.

They're definitely not in a rebuild anymore. They just stunk last year. They have a lineup that if they add one or two more pieces could likely fight for that 8th spot.

Being a Chicago fan, I get the optimism based on past results, but Hjalmarsson and Kruger have been on a downward trend the last 2 years at least. Panik is good in theory, but he has never been anything near consistent. I like a good majority of AZ’s moves but I still don’t see them being a fringe playoff team at best right now.

Galchenyuk a center ? 3 thing you need to have to be a good center

1. Good positioning... Galchy suck

2. Be good in Faceoffs...Galchy suck

3. have a descent defence...Galchy suck

really good hands and quickness but soft on the board, no heart and problems out of the ice...

if you guys think MB trade him just for trading... he have good reasons to do so... wish him the best in Arizona... still a young player and have room to improve but after 6 full years in NHL it was time to move on for MTL...

Domi is not a perfect player i know that but he's a hard worker and only play 3 years in NHL, have sign back for 2 years at 3.15M cap hit and after RFA, Galchy 4.9 for 2 years and UFA after... MTL loose skillz but they will get some back with the draft

i don'T think it's a bad trade for us like almost everyone is thinking

Time will tell

Yokes have been so bad for so long. Potential means nothing. They have to show it on the ice not on the blackboard or pie chart. Every team has injuries. It shows your depth or lack of it. Shows how hungry other players are for an increased role. Using injuries is an excuse.

You have to spend to cap to use LTIR. And with the league paying their bills doubt it will happen.

OR even better. Their current roster is good, but they have that 5th pick, they have 30 million in cap space, a bunch of tradable players and all their other picks. They should be able to move the needle a bit more between now and September.

Yes I know that, but it's about what they potentially could do. And I don't think the league is paying their bills anymore.
