I think we can agree Dobson is not availble at 12. But i do see value picks after that for sure.
- carsonagenic

I would think not.

If you could pick up Hayton mid way through the 1st. Pretty much getting Robert Thomas or another close version to Bo. Could totally win many cups with Horvat and Hayton.

Trading their futures for help now is a revolving door of futility & hopelessness. They have nothing to trade for either one of those guys other than picks & prospects.
- Marwood

Not if they're 21 and 22 year old players it isn't. Seems to me JB doesn't like any of the picks at 7 as much as risto or hanafin, I don't blame him. Risto is unreal, that would be a huge break for us.

THe fact that Canucks Army ranks Boqvist ahead of Dobson pretty much confirms that I win my bet with Prez. 99%

I think JB is just fishing.
Putting out feelers and if he thinks he can move up or down and get a guy he likes, he will.

I think he'll end up drafting a 'real good' player at 7th OA.

I bet Dobson is drafted first...think the loser has to use the other player as their avatar or something stupid like that

I don't I think he wants to rebuild the d around some serious talent. Risto would be a big step, I'm shocked Buffalo is giving up on him.

Last years. D that can't play D ranked too high. D that can too low. Merkley at 16 this year.

Rasmussen not even in the first round. Small players too high. Forwards who score but don't care for D too high. Dolan/Robertson/Hiepo.

At first glance they ranked EP, Heponiemi and Hague pretty decently. Rest were either bad bold calls or just consensus rankings.

Too soon to be sure though

Merkley is apparently falling down the draft board due to his attitude/personality.

He also can’t defend and makes too many individualistic plays.

Basically he’s not a team player, only cares about his own point totals.
