Alright, that's fair. So first thing's first, take your framework and throw it out the window.

Second, you're not getting Ristolainen for Alzner. There's really nothing MTL has to offer that could get you Risto other than 3OA, so MTL is not trading for Risto

So ROR for.... Not Patches by himself, that's for sure.

There is no trade involving Risto and RoR that doesn't have 3 OA coming back the other way.

Didn't Allen have just one bad year, while Lehner has never really put together a good year. Why would the Blues make this trade?? Starting goalies being fairly hard to find. It's like trading Andersen for James Reimer.

They would do it because he's got 3 years remaining vs. Lehner's 1 year offer for similar $. That is, if they don't think Allen is the future anymore. That's why.

Tavares is waiting for the cap raise & then will resign. He gets over 7 million more if he waits until after June 19. He'll be signed before the draft...book it.

I forgot that Hutton played well for them. But still Hutton's 5 years older so I would imagine they give Allen another chance. Bringing in Lehner for a year seems stupid if you don't have a starter in the system. However, they did trade Stastny when they were still in contention, so I guess anything could happen.

guy is +51 in the last 3 seasons with the Caps without putting a lot of point on the boards... -7 last year and he was not playing in his chair at all... find me a d-men who is +44 in last 4 years....i'm sure they are all big names with a lot of points on the board...
