I have seen women say their boyfriend raped them just because they did want to be with them anymore. Its same situation. In this scenerio it isnt the boyfriends fault but an action he made still lead to this situation. Even if he wanted to end it, common law would destroy him.

For all we know Hoffman could have banged Karlsson's wife and she found out. It is pretty common in NHL for players to bang other players wives. Could account for why he is denying as well.

There has been a lot of speculation on it for some time and the Sens have known about it since March. There is actual police work that has happened and continues to happen. This would not have gone to court and gotten this far without some sort of evidence. It'll come out more and more.
