Gregg Zaun was dumped faster than a Trump lie by sportsnet - for offending people with his "sexist jock comments" There was no trial - there was an investigation. I agree with their decision, but it has no teeth if this is a precedent. So, it would be hypocrisy to look the other way with Voynov, Hoffman and Osuna.

On Osuna you are correct he hasn't been found guilty - the 3 or 4 extensions of the administrative leave plus his failure to defend himself publicly - is a bad look. No injury on the current roster could have hurt the Jays worse than this.

The good news for the Sens is that by having to move out EK (because why would he stay?) and Hoffman they'll have more room to fit in the 4 of the best 2 players not in the NHL. They should be chomping at the bit after their undefeated run in the Calder Cup playoffs.

Pretty sure those are two completely different situations.

But not that much for big Todd.

That's the thing. Lets assuming that Hoffman's gf did this and is proven to have done this.

The team is on the road half the year and Hoffman is a fairly busy guy. It's reasonable to assume that Hoffman's gf isn't going to just tell him what she did.

Hoffman has already said it wasn't him and he believes it wasn't her either. He's already said that he knows nothing about it but wanted to help find out whoever did it.

So, we have to take it at face value and say even if it is her, he doesn't know.

Internally, it may be a completely different story but publicly all we really know is that Hoffman said he knows nothing about it. Innocent until proven guilty and as of right now there is no proof that Hoffman did or knows anything.

Again, lets assume Hoffman is just as blind sided by this as everyone else. Imagine he dumps her and is there to support Karlsson and his wife. Do you not thing that should show he cares about his team mates and that would strengthen the bond between Hoffman and Karlsson?
