JT is not going to TO. Two max contracts doesn't work. Ask the Blackhawks. This is and should be Mathews team. Get some decent D and let your young guys mature. Besides Taveres is overrated. He will the second best Center on the Isles in a year or two. Barzel is the real deal. If the Isles can keep them both and you have a Crosby/Malkin or Kuzy/Backstrom deal that can win Cups.

Lol average goalie? Crawford is at least a top 10 goalie when he's on his game. Not to mention he's got 2 rings... Honka was one of the best defenseman prospects in the world going into last year. Philly would do both of the deals in a second. Chicago and Dallas would just laugh. Two middle of the pack teams trading for a rental?

Get him for $6 X 5 and it's a deal. Swing a trade for Nylander for a good young defenseman and it's doable. Carolina is a good place to start.

Crawford has Vertigo issues, and Honka isn't good enough.

Why would anyone trade for any of those bloated contracts from Chicago? Good, acomplished players but Crawford, Toews and Seabrooke are past their primes and in no way worth the salaries. 3 Stanley Cups are amazing, toast of the league for close to a decade, let them suffer with those contracts.

Why not trade Simmonds to the Leafs; Crawford has vertigo and is past his prime, Honka is an undersized D-man, doesn't seem to fit the Philly mold of strong/big/fast.
