Watched all of them. The 3 you highlighted were especially good. Got snubbed on the Gallant question tho..

So Flower isn't happy seeing Ovechkin raise the cup? Well that says something. Flower is pretty much widely liked & for him to say that (unless I haven't understood), Ovechkin isn't this top bloke some around here (the Buzzzz), paint him as. Funny seeing Flower say something like that unless it was in reference to Vegas losing. Anyway, I'm on the (frank) Ovechkin wagon. He won the cup, played very well but the team is maybe 1 of the most hated in the NHL.

I really hope that the players that played well for Vegas can again do it next season. Going to be very interesting in what McPhee does.

As soon as the Kings were eliminated, the Capitals were my next team to rally behind. I can understand why Metro division rival fans don't like the Caps, but to everyone else, I would say they're pretty universally liked.

I'd be interested to see a poll of who everyone's 2nd favorite team was. I bet Washington would be near the top of that list.

So you like the Wilsons, Orpiks & Oshies of the world?

Guess you didn't see Ovechkin baseball swing & break his stick over the back of Sid last season, or his charging antics of years gone by. Each to their own. I guess seeing as though your team struggles to get to the playoffs you haven't had the pleasure of playing the Caps & experienced their wonderful tactics. That doesn't look like changing anytime soon so............

What's your opinion of the Flamers?

I like Wilson and Oshie, they would make great aoilers, and I love Ovi and his style of play.

Well we have a 30+ year History, including a 10 year stretch where we were the two best teams in the league, similar to Wash and Pit so, yeah, I hate them....but I don’t speak for the entirety of the hockey world.

And please don’t become one of those knobs that thinks there is a direct correlation between “ knowing about Hockey” and the success of the team you cheer for. It’s retarded. Be better.

I'm talking the now not your history of the Oilers. There's plenty of hate for the Caps players & you tell me not to speak for the entirety of the hockey world, but you appear to defending the entirety of the hockey world.

No, I'm no expert nor do I think I am. I just voice an opinion & comment based on what I see & read. But that doesn't not make me a knob. There's plenty of trash talk if that time comes (which it won't).

We'll see how you feel if the day ever comes McD feels the Washington heat.

So back to my original comment, (frank) Ovechkin & his grubby tactics & (frank) the Caps & their grubby tactics. (I will admit they played pretty damn well though)

I'd say there may be a difference of opinion between east & west. Wilson is a grub that does grub things & declines fights after doing cheap shots. Do you like him? Do you like Orpik? Oshie does cheap poop all the time, not sure what he was like playing for the Blues. DPS had a real impressive finals series but again, cheap. Trotz always sees his players as angels but never steps back about whinging about opposition players cheap shots. Holtby isn't Shy on whinging either. Ovechkin broke his stick over Sid's back after taking a baseball swing at him (& has a record of charging players), & Niskanen could have ended Sid's playing career last playoffs.

But yes, other than that (& im sure I'm forgetting other poop ), they are an upstanding team.

I'd like to take a poll on which team everyone thinks is the dirtiest. I'd bet Cooke's name gets mentioned a lot (& he hasn't played for how long? ). Jero will probably say the Pens.

Geno leads that. Did a cheap poop thing & got himself injured! Right before the playoffs.

I'd put it out there that 3 of the 4 teams that finished in the conference finals can all play pretty dirty. That's my opinion not the entirety of the hockey world.
