Justin Lowe: Fill In the Blanks
With the NHL Entry Draft a few weeks away, there are some exciting times ahead in Blackhawks’ land.
Add to that, the Stanley Cup Finals will conclude next week crowning either the Caps or Golden Knights as champions, the NHL Awards and the grace-period to chat to UFAs.
The Hossa and off-season conversations have been really solid on the message boards, so I wanted to keep it going by having a little fun.

So what would the full offer be?
Faulk
for 27th, Forsling and Hossa's contract dump?
Or would Carolina be interested in a player like Duclair or Hinostroza? |

1. “With our 1st selection in the NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select the best player available at 8."
2. My #1 UFA target this off-season is John Tavares.
3. The current Hawks RFA we need to sign last (or not at all) is Tomas Jurco.
4. The Blackhawks backup goalie in October will be Anton Forsberg.
5. The most surprising Blackhawks player that makes the team for opening night is Jacob Nilsson or Victor Edjsell. |

You guys are looking for a RHD? Maybe Weber?
The 27th pick is a bit late, but I assume number 8 is too soon. |

Seriously doubt the 27th is enough for Faulk but would guess a starting point. Faulk in the top 4 would be a great start to the season and if a trade was structured that had Hossa in that deal StanBowPopsMcD&Committee will have knocked it out of the park.

Interesting. Reading his scouting report he looks to fit Q's profile.
https://www.eliteprospect...layer/71940/dominik-kahun
Has a small stature, with a lot of room to bulk up and his physical play is inexistent as he shies away from contact on the ice.
A smart forward, who plays a reliable two-way game and is present at both ends of the ice using his tremendous skating abilities.
An addition of Faulk and De Haan would be very nice, thank you very much.

I give Delia another year in the Rock along with Forsberg. Go get a legit back up like Carter Hutton on a 1 year deal to back up CC. |

Not sure but Carolina doesn't have to trade Faulk. He's a good defenceman and at a reasonable cap hit for a team that has money to spend (if they choose), so I think if he's moved Carolina will be asking a lot for him.
The deal would be expanded for sure. |

1. Calen Addison, he has the height to fit right in...
2. Chris Kunitz, the team is looking too young...
3. John Hayden, he has too much upside potential
4. Scott Foster, he has an unblemished GGA
5. Jordin TooToo |

1. Whomever is available in this order. Tkachuk, Wahlstrom, Bouchard, Hughes, Kotkaniemi.
2. John Moore, Joe Colborne, Jay Beagle, Cam Ward, Antoine Roussel, De Haan, Thomas Hickey.
3. Must sign John Hayden.
4. Cam Ward
5. Sikura, Dahlstrom, Toews. |

Agree. Cam Ward fits that spot as does Hutchinson but at 28 yrs old would look for a longer deal IMO. Either would be sort of "ok" if Crawford can't go or as a 25 start guy if he can.

1. “With our 1st selection in the NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select Adam Boqvist” (I would take Veleno)
2. My #1 UFA target this off-season is JVR (but they will sign Bozak or Ryan)
3. The current Hawks RFA we don't need to sign at all is Tomáš Jurčo and Anthony Duclair, neither has a spot
4. The Blackhawks backup goalie in October will be Anton Forsberg, unfortunately
5. The most surprising Blackhawks player that makes the team for opening night is Tyler Sikura (and Lucas Carlsson, if they don't sign Top 4 D) |

1. “With our 1st selection in the NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select, from the OHL's London Knights, defenseman Evan Bouchard."
2. My #1 UFA target this off-season is Calvin de Haan (barring no trades for a top 4 d-man)
3. The current Hawks RFA we need to sign last (or not at all) is Tomas Jurco.
4. The Blackhawks backup goalie in October will be Colin Delia.
5. The most surprising Blackhawks player that makes the team for opening night is Colin Delia. (I think he'll really ride this breakout season with Rockford to improve himself and come back stronger and with a purpose for next season.)

Silence!!!!! The Great Rock has spoken.....

This is all on Rocky. Didn't he just give Q an extension last yr? So who would "go" midseason if the defense is again a wreck, Q doesn't play a Kempny type and the 4th line is speed/skill stick checkers? An assistant coach?

It does suggest that ownership views Q on a very short leash. |

I'm almost hoping for a Delia/Forsberg combo down at the Rock for a year. I think that will be super beneficial. |
