I don't really see BB being on a short leash this year. And it really wasn't Fenton who hired Trotz in Nashville in the first place, he was hired by Poile. I think Fenton & BB are going to work well together. Fenton appears to understand that they need to get players that fit the system the team is playing. I see their conversations being based around what players fit what BB wants to do. Along with (hopefully) Fenton telling BB that he doesn't have to play Koivu Top 6 or that he has to include him on the PP just because he is the 3rd highest salary of the forwards.
Koivu can still be a valuable player on the Wild, if used in the right context. I am really starting to see that it is going to be darn near impossible to trade him without hurting the team. So play him as the 3C and on the PK. Sorry, I know I just went off point, but it just came up with someone I was talking to at work.
Personally I am pleased with the Fenton signing and I also would be pleased to see BB terminated and BT hired. The Wild will never win with BB imo and too many good players will never reach their potential with him in charge. I can always hope but bottom line for me is BB is not a winner at the nhl level and he is too set in his ways to make necessary changes.
