After seeing the chemistry that Zib and Lias have started to build on social media, I would be all for giving Lias the opportunity to make the first line.

Put me in the camp of not wanting to sign any big pieces this summer, especially after seeing what Evander got. Did SJ think they were getting the other Kane or something? Obviously, if Tavares is interested in coming to the big apple, then you try to make a deal that's good for both parties, but I don't think they should be backing up the Brink's trucks for him. I'd rather keep our options open and make the splash when it feels right.

Can I make jokes about Quinn turning the job down to take less money elsewhere or is mrn going to beat me up?

I'd just like to go on record saying Kane did not wear out his welcome here in Buffalo. I know a decent section of the fan base would have taken him back at a reasonable deal. He is a solid player.

In all honesty, there was nothing to be seen from his so called "selfish" attitude. The guy played hard constantly and put up some good numbers on an otherwise poopty team. What happen in Winnipeg is well documented, but I feel like he has matured a bit. Time will tell though..

I find very ironic that the old boy of the NHL Lou Lamoriello can talk to a free agent player while being employed as the Senior Advisor for the Maple Leafs. I guess he really did not give a crap if the NHL fined the Leafs knowing he was on his way to the Islanders.
