Peter Tessier: Jets face elimination in Game 5 The Golden Knights are doing something unprecedented with their underlying numbers and luck. Does it run out today and what can Winnipeg do to counter?

Enstrom, Chiarot, and Copp - OUT
Morrow, Kulikov and Armia - IN

Looks like Friday was Enstrom’s last game as a Jet

Scary time to experiment but I'm all for getting Enstrom out of there. Prefer Poolman over Morrow though.

Can't win many games scoring 1 or 2 goals .... Vegas will be going to the finals....just wish I bet on them to win the cup before the season started

Boys looked like they ran out of gas.

Vegas is a machine though. Won nearly all the races to loose pucks and tough to always be chasing the play.

Dont play Helle as many games next season.

I agree the Jets looked gassed this series. I think Nashville took a lot out of them . They just didn't seem to be the same team. Possibly rotating some fresher legs in there sooner like Morrow and Poolmand etc. may have helped.

I love that the Jets really moved up this season.Nashville gassed them for sure. But give credit to a good Vegas team. They played us well.
I feel that we will be good going forward with the base we built.
Thank you Jets, for a great season!!!

Fun season, so much improvement from last year and a lot to build on going forward. Very positive that our goaltending issue finally solidified with Helle.

Bummer we can’t move on but Vegas played well and Fleury helped them over the hump. Great season!

Wow!!

4-1 series. That was quick...like ‘jet speed’ quick.

Never saw that coming at all. Winnipeg dominates and out in 5 games. Crazy.

Reaves with the winner. He made Buff back off all series and then pots the winner. You could see Buff didn’t have that swagger with a bigger scarier Reaves cruising around.

Good on Winnipeg for sure though. Great season, just met up with a better team. That’s hockey.

I’m hindsight, maybe sitting your best shutdown D in favour of a guy who hasn’t played in 3 months for an elimination game, crippling your elite shutdown line by sitting Copp whilst playing an offensively relentless team, and continuing to try and play dump and chase hockey against a team that thrives on beating you to loose pucks all over the ice was not the best collection of coaching decisions on Maurice’s part...

Rexy. Your a pathetic loser and a troll. You don't come on here after the Jets demonstrate tremendous success knocking off Minny and then Nashville but finally show your face when then finally get defeated like some grim reaper.

As far as your comments. Enstrom was as we all expected, physically outmatched and outplayed for all the playoffs. His Corsi also demonstrates that fact. He also made a lot of defensive mistakes. Maurice's only mistake was not getting Morrow or Kulikov in sooner. They both played tremendously last night. I actually though Morrow, in particular, was our best defenseman out there last night. I'm sure others would concur.

Rexy can say whatever he wants. Hindsight, blah, blah, top shutdown dman, blah blah. Get Enstrom on the first flight out of town and thanks for the memories.

This series boiled down to 2 issues, goaltending and mistakes. Our goalie did not bail out the team when Fleury did. Simple as that. Helle played good all year, made huge strides, helped get the team WCF but Fleury shut the door.

End of story.

I am glad PoMo didn’t play another goalie either for the last game. We lived and died with Helle, good experience for him. I did not agree with Laviolette yanking Rinne in the last game of Nashville, so I agree with living and dying with our goalie.

Should have sat Perreault, guy produced nothing in these playoffs but anylitics, which correct me if I’m wrong, they don’t count on the scoreboard. Perreault has proven in his career to go awol in the playoffs and although a nice contributor during the season, this time of year, he is a bum. Thank you Perreault for your one playoff point in garbadge time of a blow out win. May I recommend wrist curls over the summer as I’ve seen harder shots and quicker releases in a timbits game.
