And plenty more talent on the way. Vesalainen, Niku, Roslovic, Stanley, Samberg.
They're going to be a really good team for quite awhile. - eichiefs9
Wonder if Hellebuyck is going to be like a Hank. |

Probably, but he was their overall point leader by 20pts this year. That's a big loss up front.
I just have a feeling they'll move Morrissey to try and mitigate their cap exposure. Plus they'd get a pretty nice return for a 23 year old defenseman who had a strong season. - eichiefs9
Schieffle missed 20 games, not taking away from wheeler, but schieffle is pretty awesome. He is like the good version of dry-cycle |

It's crazy that Dry-cycle makes 2.4 mil more a year than Scheifele |

They've built that team smartly and have drafted really well. That's the recipe for success, no doubt. - Pete V
And they haven't made any major trades, before Stastny at the deadline this year. They built that team entirely from within. Wheeler and Byfuglien were added when they were still the Thrashers. Myers was the only "major" acquisition, prior to Statsny, since they're back in Winnipeg. Kulikov, too but not sure I call that a "major" pickup.
The rest of their major contributors are all homegrown. Laine/Scheifele/Ehlers/Little. It's impressive what Chevy did there. They were super patient. |

Scheifele is awesome, no doubt about it. He's such a complete player.
Not sure he would have taken the point lead for them though. He missed 20 games but he finished 31pts behind Wheeler. That would have had to have been a hell of a run to top 91pts. |

Wheeler is pretty consistently underrated. Such a good hockey player. Love me some Schiefele though |

When is the last time Lundqvist made 94 saves in a game? I'll wait... |

It was in the AHL, might as well have been a pick-up game. |

Yeah, I think Wheeler doesn't get as much love because most of his points are assists and I feel like the general public tends to look down on that a little bit. |

WHAt about Carlo from Bos for their 1st back and Namestnikov? He’s a younger Girardi, won’t put up points but a 1st pair defensive dman that can go against other teams top lines. |

lots of talk, spurred by Larry Brooks, that the Rangers will try and acquire Adam Fox, Lindren's partner in WJC's
the kid is from Jericho |

Correct.
I have no idea what he'd cost. PPG RH defenseman in the NCAA. I would imagine the Flames want at least a first. Probably not 9 overall, but Boston's pick + some other thing(s)? Not a clue. |
