Id certainly consider Eklblad for Nylander, but as a lot of people have stated,moving Nylander for anything besides a young potential 1 line D is stupidity.

The Leafs have come D coming that could turn out well, you just keep drafting and making your team better where you can. That's why you go after Tavares if you can.

I would do that trade too but I don't think Florida needs to trade a D for a Forward.

Having Matthews - Tavares - Kadri down the middle would be very similar to the Pittsburgh model. Keep great centermen and patch work whatever you can around them. They have won cups with AHL plugs at defence and wing.

I know, but I think that is the type of return needed if Nylander is ever to be traded; I think that anything less than an Ekblad type for Willie, hurts us more than helps us.

Not sure, how efficient is he with rotary phones? That might come back to bite us. Especially, if there is a short cord attached to the wall mounted phone.

It doesn't take long for the re-draft to change. Even 2015 #3-17 would be redrafted way differently with guys like Marner, Werenski, Barzal, Debrusk probably going early.

That was a strange draft, lots of bad picks - including Sam Reinhart at #2 by the Sabres. Even though Nylander was a great pick, Pastrnak at #25 was the pick of the draft. Florida is not going to trade Ekblad.

Neither do I, in the low probability case that Leafs land JT this summer, I would think that Nylander would be packaged to land a d-man. If they consider him a centre, they might look at moving Kadri instead - but only in that scenerio. They might get even more for Kadri.
