Their situation is pretty much where Edmonton was prior to the 2015-16 season: they've been granted the opportunity to add a generational talent to a strong collection of youth and need to get a lot better and do it quickly.

There is no more appetite for the "be patient and wait" approach among the fanbase and the fact that you can't see this and relate is surprising considering we just went through it.

Yeah, I recognize we're not exactly in a great place but we at least had a taste of success. There's still a lot of clamouring for immediate results and change but it's balanced pretty well with calm voices understanding patience (while simultaneously calling for Chiarelli's head).
