Regardless, the Islanders were still one of the highest scoring teams in the league; they don't need more. They need a goalie upgrade and to tweak their defense. Crawford is not the goalie he was and this would be a limp-in.

Going back to the 12-13 season, he's averaged a 92.2% SV. The only question here is how does he recover from the concussion/cracked vertebrae he had from his dumb snowmobiling accident. If he's healthy, there is 0% chance the Hawks trade him, and they shouldn't; he's a top 7 netminder at worst, and probably closer to top 5.

Zadina wil be an impact player, while none of Veleno, Hayton or Kotakniemi will. I wouldn't mind Kotkaniemi though.

As for the D, they could still grab a decent one with their 2nd round pick.
