When I was a kid for years I thought the first line of the American National anthem was “ Oh Jose can you see “
I always wondered who this Mexican guy was who was important enough to be included in the anthem.

Would've loved Kovy, but it sure seems like he has an idea of where he wants to play and I see no real ties to Edmonton.

It's a shame, guy was still producing at pretty damn good pace in the KHL. Appears he hasn't lost much at this point

On a short deal he’d be a nice pickup. He used to play the point on the power play and he was deadly. Real hard shot and smart enough to make elite plays.
He’s also a big guy who will drop the gloves with anyone.

He's exactly what we need, but not any real ties that I see of.

Rags seem like where he wants to go, but I do wonder if he rather go play with some high end countrymen on a cheaper contract and go for the Cup

If I were him I would sign with the Oilers for one year to play with McDavid. It would definitely inflate his numbers for his next contract.

Skinner signs his entry level deal. Lots didn't like the pick at the time, I to this day still really don't know what to make of it. Goalies are quite the crap shoot. At least he's progressive up and not one of those guys you don't hear anything about after being drafted.

He absolutely killed it in the WHL playoffs and even out-dueled Carter Hart. Obviously it's just year 1 of his post-draft career, but that's a great sign. Players that don't have elite results in junior rarely become anything significant in the pros.

He didn't really out-duel Hart. Outplayed him, maybe, but Everett is a crazy defensive team.

Still, 6 shutouts and a .932 save percentage in the postseason through 26 games is pretty impressive.

He made some RIDICULOUS stops along the way.

Please don't tell me you expected them to actually duel at center ice with the whole horse and knight costume

I watched a Golden Knights broadcast and I just sort of assumed that's what hockey is.

Probably but even then I'm not sure He's been more of a negative drag on 5-on-5 GF results over his career than Russell. While I'd be dropping an extra year off the contract, Faulk's presence would likely only serve to limit opportunities for guys like Klef and Nurse to continue developing their PP abilities (despite Faulk only being an okay 5-on-4 producer).

How did Chiarelli not extort Ryan Pulock out of the Islanders along with Strome
