Montreal big blockbusters trade rumor mention by ek a center from central division:
Would trade towes for galchuak patch and 3rd overall pick. Then sign taveras 8 years 9 mill per year also have 8th and 27th picks to play with as much as I love towes and is my favorite player on the team i would do it . thoughts |

Apparently I do not know how goaltender interference is interpreted. An opposing skater skates into and across blue paint untouched until th je puck comes through. Aftet the player had skated across the blue paint from far to near side of net. Not pushed or checked skater impeded upon his own volition. This is allowed. Goaltender needs that blue paint free of any players so as to track pucks and move freely, unimpeded in his crease. Serms like a bad rule how skater can skate through crease

Nobody is touching Toews at $10.5mil based on his last 3 seasons and age. It’s a fantasy bc the cost to get rid of him would be 1st or Debrincat or more. I love Tavares but why would he sign here? He’s trying to win and the Hawks are a very flawed roster. |

Does not make sense as you report it. Would advise not to get caught up in rumors. Would not even read them. Lots of talk and ideas, interest floated. Reports 99% usually a reporter trying to connect dots and make something out of no solid or creditable information. It's like saying I am buyi g a house just because I told someone the thought crossed my mind. Or I go on a business trip and tell a colleague, that house in this other city is one I might consider if I saw one like it again. Report comes that I am buying a house on another city.
Get that. Reporters try to connect dots. Because they get paid to produce, to write. Sensationalism sells. Ignore it. |

Its that time of season when your team is out of it and arm chair gm come out including myself to try and fine out what your team is going to do make the team better. So rumors get floated around we all speculate what if. Just have to keep things in perspective and wait until something actually happens but its fun sometimes to come with ideas about possible trade scenarios. |

Hate to admit it but you're right.
Unless Bergervin is stupid enough and we can fleece him....remember we have that savvy GM!

Very interesting. So, was Dent going it on his own, or was he trying to emulate the big club in order to prep his players? If the latter, that might explain a lot. (Clearly, I'm not good at identifying D schemes or issues) - pdx2ord
I don’t know why dent was doing that. What I do know anecdotally from other sports — primarily baseball — is that the minor leagues teach the major league team’s offensive and defensive strategies so that if someone gets called up, they know how to play the game at the mlb level
It wouldn’t make sense for dent to do something different than what the hawks were doing. Rockford is there to help the players learn schemes so when they get called up, they are a better fit.

Dont be ignorant. Queeneville got away with Coaching ineptness despite winning. A good coach gets better results, better effort, does not carry on with stupid drop pass out of our end, does not each year tolerate the ridicuous strategy on powerplay. There were good years but as talent level and talent depth dropped so too has Q sound decisions . Cmon' now Weise playoffs pedigree could not be of use here in that playoffs? Daley? Kempny were blackballed. He couldn't find a ways to get good performance out of them.
I could keep mentioning more things, like development of dmen, dumping puck in corner and not on net in some situations....enough already. Thank you Q but time to move on. - jhawk59
Then I'm grateful you aren't running the team, you don't treat your 3 time SC winning coach and gm like a one night stand, sorry you didn't make the playoffs so both of you are fired, what if they did that in Tampa?
Honestly the whole minimizing Q's accomplishments is really tiresome its all his critics can do. The fact that you don't realize the reason the PP struggled because of no net front presence says a lot. |

You don't have to explain that. I assume that
I get that we are fans, we are akin to frustrated writers who wish they could be the coach or GM. I used to get caught up in it. Spent lots of time, even playing a few years in a sports cars face off game with matrices etc sl. If you enjoy all the rumor mounting ways, then go for it. But it can become too time consuming. |

Hard to bet against the stat NBC showed when Regular Season #1 vs #2 meet in the playoffs, the winner of that series has gone on to win the Cup every single time! The Jets are HUGE and highly talented. But Vegas has been battling all year like we see tonight...they don’t go away |

NOT A CHANCE !!!!
Toews isn't going anywhere with that contract and 2 year decline...sorry.
Though hopefully the Center from our division is Anisimov to Montreal for picks or prospects.....anything to dump his Cap hit would be fine with me.

Thanks rumors are rumors also where do the rumors come from is important thing if its from a credible source that peaks anybody's interest but most rumors are fan generated. Bowman needs to do something significant in this offseason if they have chance to get better for the future even that means moving someone like towes which i believe he is not going anywhere unless he wants to go. Wait and see |

Jets skating circles around LVGK - BetweenTheDots
Skated !! Past tense....as in the first 15 minutes or so of the 1st period. After the 3-0 lead they have slowed down and let VGK back in the game. 4-2 now after 2....I wouldn't be surprised if OT is in store. This Vegas team is relentless. |

Everyone knows that net front presence. It is only one problem on the powerplay. The success the GM and coach enjoyed is buying them another year. But there are serious issues. At some point a good coach has to stop bad or poor results by changing the way things are done. He did stop using Keith always on PP. I addressed some of the many problems that exist. You can close your eyes and hope finally they attempt to fix these issues after many years of suffering. You can even say it is not all on Queeneville. Which is true. But you cannot ignore reality.
And, I apologize I came across too harsh and antagonistic. I know that you have been on the board at least a few years and I do not recall any outlandish commentary from you - although we generally only recall our favorite or most despised bloggers. Let's just say that there are problems and I say there are coaches with different approach, good with kids, who should do better Like Colliton. The team will be bad again, even if Stan adds better support. So Q one more year is just an opportunity to see if he finally corrects or attempts to correct SOME things. McDonough is going to want to see positive direction toward improvement. He will note what ails the team.
Both Bowman and Q are actually on the clock whether McDonough says so or not. And he is not able to say that, publicly, not not upon another season. McDonough knows the team goes through a recovery period. Let's see what old problems are addressed. I am not surprised Q is still here but that may change by next summer or sooner. |

Seabrook should/would be moved before 19 IMO - EnzoD
No core players will be moved.
Book it !!
This organization is all about loyalty...
That's why they all got NM clauses.
I would love to be wrong here that's for sure.
If Stan and Q survived, so will the Core 4.

I have to say since Holtby became the starter the defense has relaxed and played better, after Holtby bailed them out on some horrible turnovers
They might just might pull off the upset |
