Interesting to note that the man who built this team used to be in the Hawks Front Office

The Jets offensive size, speed, and skill overwhelmed the best Defense Group in the NHL this series. I suspect they will do the same to a good, but not great, D-core in Vegas.

I see them having a tough series vs LVGK. That team is just so disciplined they will wait for the Jets to get impatient and take advantage of it.

I'm just glad to be watching Winnipeg vs Vegas instead of having to watch the Preds for another round and listen to their insufferable fans with their 99 different "you suck" chants. The silence in that building after the empty netter is music to my ears.

Once it was obvious the Hawks wouldn't be in the playoffs, my only hope was that somebody . . . ANYBODY . . . would knock the Preds out.

And thanks to the Jets we get the 27th pick to boot!!!!

Jets in 6 but I think the Cup comes out of the West whoever wins the WCF. Tampa loses again in the Cup Final. Can’t wait for that President’s Trophy banner ceremony next fall, am I right?!?! LOL

Nashville actually looked tired in that third period. Laviolette was shortening up his bench early in the second while the Jets looked like they were playing everyone. That may have caught up with the Preds in the end.

Rinne did what he does best - choke.

If I ever hear anyone say anything about him being in the upper-echelon of goalies/elite ever again, I will go ballistic.

He's nothing more than a mediocre goalie whose true colors come on display when it really matters.

On a side note, thank god the Preds are out. I'm guessing we won't be seeing our basement-dweller Dobby .... I mean .... Rash anytime soon

Jets are gunna be good for a few years and I love watching the way they play hockey. The city of Winnipeg deserves a winning hockey team. Rinne can’t win the Vezina now, right?

Be interesting to see if Rinne is back next year. I believe he'll be 35 and I'd imagine they want to see what they have in Saros sooner rather than later.

Absolutely !! Another thing to think about......this will be the 1st time a road team gets to go to Las Vegas to play in a WC FINAL. I can only imagine how fun those post game "events" will be for the Jets.

Enzo, I just told a buddy of mine the same thing, we're both wondering, what if?
Seems like Chicago was the grooming place for GM's, Easy to do, not taking nothing away from, Chevy, Bergy , and probably MacCiver later this summer, since Dale basically laid the ground work. Then A PR move by McDonough to bring in Scotty, of course some Chicago politics, " only if my kid gets the GM job"..... But he did get 2more cups, as much as I don't like the idea of him targeting Majority of small non Physical players, I'm willing to give them a chance to right the ship this summer.
The good thing is John McDonough is not gonna stand for more bull shlit come October. Looking forward to late June/ early July.
