Hartman - 3 healthy scratches (and possibly/probably a fourth last nite if Fisher had been available) - someone besides Q wasn’t thrilled with his play.

Don’t know yet about Ejdsell - perhaps a very good AAAA but not NHL player - and have to see what Bowman does with the 27th pick - and certainly there is Hartman talent possibly available to tap....

Let’s wait a while to evaluate the trade.

How about Edjsell and #27 for #10?

indeed...but that's the point...pay the fee..

the ad blocker i use works great and HB does not detect it...

Haha like anyone is going to pay $20 to use a website that DIDN'T HAVE A MOBILE VERSION UNTIL 2018.

Eklund cares about one thing... impression counts. That's why there's at least three ad spots on every page, and the experience on Mobile gets you redirected to scam sites every other day, and posting links to competing hockey news sites gets you banned, and the forum interface hasn't been updated in years.

I like this site, but the reinvestment into user experience is slim to none.

Maybe getting him out of the 'Hawks locker room was a plus all in itself.

Interesting quote from Murphy in latest Athletic article. I know all of the guys, particularly the older ones, have a lot going on outside of the rink, but to not get to know each other before the END of the season. . .?

What article are you talking about? I didn’t see that quote in his interview with Powers.

That might be enough to get it done. I suppose the further the IceHogs advance, and how well Ejdsell performs may play into the equation.

I think he meant that they had a talk at he end of the year about how this season everyone was still trying to get to know each other, and that next year they will be in a better position having that all worked out from this season.

BTW is it just me or part of the reason that Seabs and Teows got there big deals and letters was there were some of the best leaders in the game? I'm really starting to the think the only leader ot the young guys is Kane? its one thing to lead with all guys your age. Its another to lead the young guys, Help them with there confidence talk to them about the game. take time in the offseason to work with them. You hear that about kane not at all about Teows and Seabs. Maybe about time you took at least an A from someone and rewarded Kane with it. Anybody else feel that?

Actually if you were paying attention to the bench during the season, especially later on when they knew they were toast. Toews, Seabs, Dunc, Sharp were all talking with the young guys and giving them advice and pointers. I think the rumors that they don't help out with the young guys is not correct.

How about #8 and #27 for a higher pick that is NHL ready?? Honestly, not much happening below #4 or #5 in the way of someone who could enter the lineup right away.

Another great benefit to your AHL team playing well and making noise in the playoffs is that their value can go up as individual players as well.

This helps Stan when including some of these guys in trades for the future... especially if they really go the distance and/or win a championship (not getting ahead of myself, just saying how advantageous that would be).

I think you are right. All the vets looked to be playing the role of teacher. I recall seeing different comments all year about who is helping who and the names come up.

Also, I didn't notice if this was shared here, but it is a good interview with Kane. He gives his vote of confidence in coach Q around the 5:30 mark.

I retrospect, wish I coughed up the $44 bucks to watch their first two rounds.

Kane has deserved an “A” for a while now. The problem is there is no room for another “A” as rule is a “C”, 2 “A”s per game. Arguably both Kane and Hossa deserved an “A” when Hossa was still playing. Can’t see there being revolving “A”s as some teams have. It is an unfair NHL rule for teams with many leaders. Does the NHL think teams will dress 15 “A”s if wasn’t limited? I do not know if a team can make a special application to have a “C” and 3 “A”s.

From here: https://theathletic.com/3...ld-off-blackhawks-season/

And, as several have said, I may have misinterpreted his comments. Could go several ways based on the wording.

In the Athletic today, Gustafsson was praising Seab's for how much he was helping Gus out and how he hopes he gets paired with Seabrook next year. I don't think anyone need worry about Seab's leadership and mentoring of the young guys. I would hope the same holds for Toews as well.
