It's very much walking on the line...Pens player saw him coming, went to lower his shoulder to engage contact with Wilson, then the taller and stronger Wilson exploded straight through the shoulder initially and head happened to be behind the shoulder based on his approach angle - EnzoD
If both had time to do all that - without having to worry about a puck in play - then Wilson certainly had time to let up and lower his point of contact.
Either the league wants to eliminate head shots - or they don’t.
Apparently they don’t. |

Perreault is out injured for Jets
Don't want to take Big Buff out of defense rotation. But on a few occasions he was with Perreault and someone else ..
.the forward line racked up a lot of points...A LOT ........dominating. Also would you put Big Buff in front of Rhinne on powerplay. Throw Rhinne off his game.
There are options with Buff. Even if only a shift or period at a time.
BTW Jets farm team to play Rockford. The Jets farm team was one of best in league this season but a couple guys are up with Jets. Still Icehogs in for rough ride. The Icehogs have a style of play, experience, good coach, good goaltending..........so they could upend the favorite Manitoba Moose. |

I predict that Vegas will get beat up sore all over against Jets or Nashville. They won't be as good if they somehow manage to get to the Cup final. Vegas is not going to win it all. |

"Here is the problem with that: This same thing keeps happening with Tom Wilson.
He always seems to find himself in these positions. He always seems to find himself at the center of the controversial play where “there is nothing else he could have done,” or “the contact could not be avoided,” or “there was not a clear view of what happened.” No matter the situation, no matter the hit, no matter the result, there is an always an excuse for why it was okay or why it shouldn’t have been elevated to the level of supplemental discipline. The story of his career to this point can probably be summed up as: Hey, that was probably a bad hit with an unfortunate result for the guy on the receiving end of it but there just wasn’t enough evidence to suspend him … this time."

I can't stand these coaches of primadonna teams (Nashville, Pitt, Boston). Every time a goal is scored against their team, they have to cry about something. On Peg's 4th goal, Mike Fischer should have been called for holding/interference, but the coach wanted a tripping penalty. Well, you can't have it both ways crybabies. |

As long as Marchant and Malkin are playing, there are no rules!

Do you know what NHL team drafted Boston head coach Cassidy? What round. His playing career? Maybe some on board will be surprised |

Blackhawks. When he has to defend Marchant, I lose respect for him. |

Three major knee surgeries for the 1983 18th overall choice by Chicago. Had best junior season 25 86 111 pts. Played most minor league hockey then overseas, and last back to minor leagues in our great country. He debuted in the NHL as a 19 yr old. My best memory was when he rode Gretzky off puck on a breakaway.
His wife was formerly a lobbyist and Motorolla executive |

Could have sworn I saw Kempny involved in that game winner back in the Caps zone. |

Kempny capable of playing 18 solid minutes for a team 2 wins from the EC Finals, yet was a consistent healthy scratch in Chicago. |

Wow Caps won game 3, I'm shocked we'll see but still doubt they win series |

I called Tom Wilson a name earlier, but the dude is effective.
He was +2, had an assist, a shot, 1 takeaway, 0 givaways, 9 hits and pissed off Penguins and their fans.
I take back everything I said about him. He's freaking great. |
