After playing hard and handling the pressure from the time he entered the NHL Kane scored the Cup winning OT goal as a 21 year-old. Went 3-5-8 in Cup Final. Matthews in big games doesn’t look like he can handle the pressure - he seems bugged out and invisible. Obviously, he is still young but has been 2 straight years for someone deemed “generational”.

Maybe being “invisible” is the new generational approach in the new virtual world.

Trade Schmaltz and DeBrincat now before they create a cap problem in the future. Package them together for a late first rounder.

We pick at #8. Down one spot.
I hope not stuck taking Dobson
Hughes grudgingly take him. Maybe some team pulls a surprise and one of the top seven rated is available

Not likely a trade. That happens this draft only if big names are bring tossed around.

Based on Central Scouting's final rankings, it looks like Bouchard + Dobson are moving up and out of reach for the Hawks at 8. Hughes and possibly Boquist will be there at 8 and a Top Pair D is the biggest organizational need....

Still consuming the 152 shots of ? That's how often he called for Dahlin.

That kind of faith is not happenjng in any trade, unless Bowman goes down. And if he goes down, the trade will be part of his undoing. You have few opportunitues to add star core difference makers. But no, if he trades down for a much less likely star from a lower pick. To get an nhl dman - a real nhl top four - when he has free agency instead - and he would rather squandor our #8 overall. Do that Stan and i hope someone takes out a full page add: fire Bowman. He has no common sense. You are on the clock. Please don't screw all us fans. That ND degree help you out?

So you are serious, wow just wow. Kane was on the best team maybe of all time and Matthews is considered the saviour of a team that has maybe 1 top 4 defenseman.

What would you want to move up - pretend you are the other GM. Yea, a stud available my pick. Not as good as player your pick. Why in the world would i swap choices. You giving me something really good as in prospects and already top young talent? No?
Then go away, i am not listening to you.

No trade up

Not sure I am a fan of the knights pre.game show but I think we will be seeing it many time this postseason. Like how all the spectators settle down and are totally respectful during the Anthem after the pre.gamecshow hypes them up.

If he's there he's the strong (6'1" 200+lbs at 18)scorer you love. But, I think it will go...

1)Dahlin
2)Svechnikov
3)Zadina
4)Tzchuck
5)Dobson
6) Bouchard
7)Wahlstrom
8) Hughes/Boquist

Hopefully in 5-7 GMs take one or both of Hughes/Boquist as getting one of the big bodied 200ft Dmen in Bouchard or Dobson is the perfect fit IMO. Getting Wahlstrom, Hughes or Boquist is my prediction.

I think that just watching burns getting penalized for sticking up for this teammates by nailing Neal matches the total number of times I’ve seen someone on the hawks do the same thing over all 82 games.

I'd be happy with Wahlstrom, Dobson, Bouchard, Boqvist or Bouchard. If I had to guess I'd say the Hawks land Boqvist.

I think this was written before Dobson started moving up the charts:

So the hawks and rangers pick 8 and 9 two of the biggest revenue generating markets and not in the top 5 another screw up by bettman and the nhl. Buffalo carolina and Ottawa what a joke.

Wiz is not thrilled with Dobson. Draft him high you will be disappointed you did not get this great talent. Wiz message is that the super talent quick small guys trump all the negative aspects attributed to their size. That is not his opinion it us more just how teams are thinking and will draft with that mindset.
I have trouble believing; it just appears they cannot defend. Imagine Tzchuck and Hughes battling.

So a team cannot have five of six all smurfs no matter how gifted they are offensively. Right.....Z3 you are right. Some form great offensive but not totally sounds like the nephron po mm
