Here is the solution to todays game. Wake everyone up early for practice. Once suited up, attach a cinder block to them and have them skate Suicide runs.

Bill Guerin...stayed good until he was 39. Even the Flyers gave him a tryout after a 20 season.

Mike Knuble's last productive season was 2010-11 with the caps. He was about 37 at the time.

Keith Tkachuk was basically good his entire career. He was done at 38.

Gary Roberts stayed decent until age 36.

Brenden Shanahan was good his entire career. Done at 39.

Shane Doan...age 39.

It's not impossible.

every one of those guys were like 220 plus. Simmonds is so slight.

Matt Cullen, good at 39 and 40

11 goal scorer Making 1 million. Different than possibly signing Simmonds for 6 million per. the salary is my main concern

It was OK. They did made more changes from the comic that reduced the significance of a lot of stuff.

The way the comic ended it was Saviors attacked. Negan did not know about Dwight, they came up on Rick from behind with the contaminated weapons. Dwight shot Rick with an Arrow and the Saviors retreated. Everyone knew about the weapons and thought Rick was going to die. Negan pulls up to the Hill top the next morning to boast and see Rick dying when to his suprise, Rick is alive. Rick starts talking about the future stuff and how it could be. Negan starts to realize he was wrong when Rick slits his throat and demands the saviors stand down or they wont save him. Dwight preaches to the saviors to do as he says and Dwight takes over as leader of the Saviors and Negan goes to jail.

I felt that was a lot more impactful than how things went down.

"Allegedly" he was offered 3-4 mil from a handful of teams after the first cup win with the Pens.

yeah i've also read the comics. i've just resigned to the fact that the show will never live up to them. this episode was one of the better ones in a while imo but still underwhelming

be that as it may, the reality of the salary cap and a deal commiserate with the Oshie deal is not one im willing to give Simmonds

Consider this: we keep Bob, start him, buy out bryz.

The butterfly effect. More wins. Better record through the years. Maybe we don't get Hart. Or Provorov. Or Patrick. Or Sanhiem.

what did we say was key to the series? stay out of the box but kill when youโ€™re in there, and shut down 87/71.

games 1 and 3 they failed in all of these areas. 2 losses. not complicated.

meanwhile our top guys arenโ€™t playing well - not scoring, not defending, taking penalties.

They played a pretty good first period. Murray ate them alive, then they folded up shop and went in the tank.

they did, but murray did nothing miraculous. patrick shoots low, right into the glove. the other few chances - all good stops - but ones he should make because despite the close range - he saw everything, had time to set and the shots themselves werenโ€™t great. like the sanheim redirect /tip on the 2 on 1.

they were undisciplined, and stopped skating with speed and physicality. they got too deliberate, too slow to move the puck and also got no bounces.

if patrick scores early, like if laughton should have scored in game 1, maybe itโ€™s different. weโ€™ll never know.

top guys need to show the (frank) up.
