After the season we've had, prying on the misery of others is all we have left.

I was all excited to watch a good game, had some beers and snacks ready to go, kids in bed. Then it was over in 5 mins

Nice weather we're having, eh?
Half my Maple tree came down and took half my deck that overhangs the ravine with it.

This could get expensive

When did I say it was completely his fault? Please point it out

I said Marleau failed at C. He can't play C against Bergeron, watch the game for proof. He didn;t get any help, but he still sucked.

and where did I say any team is only good because their coach?

Please go back and read.

Sure, that helps, so does the coach.

You are literally trying to pinpoint success and failures on things to just try and make your argument right, however proving no evidence.

Babs and the Leafs turned this team around.

Matthews has a huge hand in it, Marner does, Kadri does, Babs does.

-Santo

You guys are the ones saying any coach could of turned around the Leafs

- Santo_44

Okay fine. Statement retracted.

Marleau would have been better with more defensively responsible wingers. Komo/Brown, for example.
And you didn't say that, but you are implying a heavier emphasis on coaches importance. All I'm trying to tell you are two things now:
1) You're over emphasizing the importance of coaches. Babs is a great coach that has helped the Leafs get to where they are, and despite this poop series, overall is a good place. We're a good team and he has a hand in that. But he's not as big as a factor or as good a coach as you suggest. Leading to point 2..
2) He's not perfect. He has faults and has exposed them. The line-up he's tried before shows us this and you don't see it. Babcock is, in fact, fallible.

Same. Babsocks on, Marner jersey on, lucky Leafs PJs on, pizza on the coffee table, turned the lady on mute and was ready to go.

Turned out all I needed for that game was whiskey..

1)Please argue with Babs resume

saying he is not as good coach as I think does not prove anything, and give me actual results not opinions on who he plays more than the other...because you can not argue with results

2)Once again go back and read

He isn't going to win with every decision he makes ffs, you need to put down the koolaid and realize that there are other teams than the Leafs. Babcock is facing the top coaches in the league every night, just like a team in a 82 game season they aren't going to win them all, they will make mistakes.

I enjoy debating with you so I'll easily pick apart Babcock's resume.

2 olympic medals (Of which his team was one of, if not THE best of the tournament and expected to medal. Anything less would have been underperformance)

1 cup ring in 2008. Cup appearance in 2003 and 2009.

He was in the playoffs for 10 straight years and went 1 - 9.

Tell me how good his resume is when he doesn't have considered the best team on his bench? He has never really "overperformed" with any team he's had.

Not sure what to do about the lineup of beer I drink for tonights game. Was drinking Sleeman's Original Draft and Alexander Keiths for the first two games. Obviously those two jinxed the Leafs.

Going to switch to Landshark tonight - and might throw in some Samual Adams Boston Lager? From a superstitious point of beer would it be a good or bad thing to drink a beer with Boston in the name. On one hand it would be like i'm stealing away something made for Boston - on the other hand it has Boston in the name?

What's worse;

L.A down 3-0,
Washington down 2-0,
Leafs down 2-0 or;
Anaheim down 2-0?

Can't argue with his Resume. Show me once where I said he was undeserving on any of those accomplishments? Other than some of those were gimmies. He's a good coach. If you can't argue with results, how come the Leafs are 0-2 in the playoffs and you refuse to say Babs may have made mistakes in them?

I'm not expecting him to be perfect. It's been pointed out multiple times that he isn't expected to be. But if he learned from his mistakes instead of being so stubborn, maybe we'd be better? Are you telling me that Komarov should still be on the powerplay? Are you telling me the best option with him before he got hurt was on the top line? If you say those are good choices, you are wrong.

I just dont get how a Bostonn player is always between the pass and the puck.
I mean shoot it up the boards and the Leaf is behind the Boston player, Boston player shoots it towards the net and the Leaf is ahead of the Boston player, tell me, who will get to the puck first if it gets through.

It's weird. Almost as if they know what they're doing. Too bad we can't relate.
