There’s nothing to say. We ran into Seidenberg at a function that his kid and my kid were both at. I asked him about JT. He said “he’s going to either Toronto or Montreal”

O K sport! I was at all 4 of the Isles cups through the 70s-80s. Its funny cause the pathetic team from msg has one! think about every supposed all star that went to msg to die except of course for Edmonton south-east. As bad as the Isles have been mis managed they have more cups and that's all that matters. So pull your car in the garage, close the door, start the car, and go to sleep.

The Devils are in a position to only get better and better over the next few years, why the Devils aren’t mentioned is interesting.. They have plenty of Cap space, it would keep him close to home, and if has any interest in also winning joining Taylor Hall and Nico Hischier would in my eyes be more attractive option over a rebuilding Rangers who might sign a 35 year old as the first building block of their rebuild.

It makes sense for New Jersey, but does it make sense for Tavares, which is the ultimate deciding factor really. Not so much the cap space.

Rangers have 0 chance to land Tavares if he truly wants to win a cup. He'd be better served in New Jersey if that were his #1 factor WHILE also staying in the area with his family.

I doubt he'll go west, but who knows.

This is really getting silly. Every other day this guy posts that this team (usually a team like the Rags or Vancouver which makes no sense) is “all in” on Tavares. This is basically like stating that every single guy in the bar is “all in” on taking home that smoking hot blonde that’s single. Like...a duhhhh? Who wouldn’t want to be “all in” on the best free agent player to hit the NHL market in like a decade? But he’s not gonna go to a franchise like Detroit, the Rangers or Vancouver who is in worse shape personnel wise than the Islanders. He’s gonna go somewhere that he can win right away

The Rangers always have to be competitive bc it’s “ny” bullpoop. They have not had the first overall pick in 50 years. My point is you need elite talent in this league to win. We never draft it but usually trade or sign some teams aging scraps . Hopefully we can draft some in the near future. The rangers will def entertain Tavares but he will not sign there

Sounds fishy.

I know JT from his junior days when he played for London. He absolutely hated the spotlight, and liked dealing with media even less. Maybe all that has changed since he's gotten older and more mature, but from what I've seen over the years, he's still not real keen on the attention.

Toronto, if he still hates the spotlight, would be the last team he'd sign with.

Not denying Seidenberg said that but I don't know if he is JT's inner circle or just a guy with a feeling. I also don't know if JT would be tipping his hand to everyone on the team or just his super close knit friends and even then it isn't official until the ink is dry... plus Jt and his Fiance bought house in Garden City so not sold on her pushing for a relocate
