I don't like Dubé, two-faced coach according to all his ex-players. Over analyzes everything, uses meaningless words like situation numérique to appear smarter and constantly contredicts himself.
McGuire could be done but he would need to learn to tone it down a notch for TV. On the radio he tends to sells a shot in the goalie's crest by Plekanec has the save of the century - Fredo
That's what I like about McGuire, every game sounds entertaining as hell! We badly need him these days.
As for Dubé, I can't say about him as a coach but I think he's usually pretty good at evaluating what's going on. At least he's not any worse than the other options we have. |

Houde has flawless french and years of experience. Sometimes I'm a little annoyed that he's often clueless why a whistle is blown, oh it's icing, oh no offside oh wait it's a penalty for the habs. Also takes him 18 replays to figure out if a shot was deflected and by whom.
Other than that he's great. - Fredo
Houde is good, no problem with him or Denis. |

I miss Houde. Used to get them from time to time, but now with 100 TSNs...never. |

Random question: does anyone know where I could get the full games of the 1993 Stanley cup finals? Doesn't need to be a box set or whatever - Pat1993
The Habs probably have them. |

I just remember Dubé doing a capsule on Tortorella and how that type of coaching is outdated and the importance of psychologie and being a good leader bla bla..
Same night they have Yanic Perreault as a guest and McGuire asks him what kind of a coach was Dany Dubé.
He says I have never seen a coach break that many sticks and throw that many garbage cans in a locker room.
Dubé was like Euuuuuhhh yeah well eeeeuh those were different times.
I guess I just don't like hypocrites, ever since I hate the guy |

So, if it's 15$ for a beer, I guess they're going to charge me like 3000$ for these games?
I think it was on Radio-Canada back in the day, could contact them as well and see if they can send some archives |

So wait.
Dubé claims Tortorella's way of coaching these days is outdated.
Then Perreault claims that when Dubé coached him.... like 20 years ago... he was exactly like Tortorella.
Why does that make him a hypocrite? The guy can't learn something and change in 20 years? Let alone the fact he's not coaching anymore.

He talks like he was always this great psychologist and judges every old school coach but he did exactly the same so yes.
That he's always contradicting himself, example one day he's said Mc Carron is too slow to be center, he'd be more effective as a winger as a center you need speed to stay in the play. The next day they put Byron at center and he goes well Byron is too fast for center you are wasting his speed at center you don't need as much speed as on the wing. |
