I'm hoping the Hynes decision to bench Severson is to get him motivated to play well like it's worked before. Otherwise it's nothing short of head scratching

If he hasn't inserted him by now, I doubt we see him unless we're behind in the series or there is an injury. This is more mind-boggling than the DeBoer/Larsson debacle.

Pavel Zacha scares the crap out of me in this series.He had a terrible turnover in Ranger game that led to a goal and against Toronto made a blind behind the back pass right in front of Kinkaid that he had to make a great stop...against the talent in TB these will be certain goals. I hope Hynes worked on those things with PZ this week!

That is funny. Deboer kept scratching Larsson for Peter Harrold that year. Once Larsson got in against philly in round 2 he got the last laugh. If i remember correctly he had that huge goal the game Kovy missed due to injury. Everyone and their mother had us losing that game. I think it was even in Philly.

Agreed. He is our second best d-man. I do not care if his last couple games were not ideal, we need our top players dressed if we are going to stand a chance. And what is up with MOJO???? Wasn't he cleared for contact a couple weeks ago? We could really use another top 6 forward about now.

Texas Arizona in Hoboken will always have something for Devils game nights. Ownership there is close with a lot of the devils. Devil players are always spotted there. Taylor hall was there in feb after a game in newark.

It's nice that the Zajac line can go against the top competition while Zacha's line gets some weaker assignments. It's allowed Zacha's line to product more points which has been sorely needed.

This idea of "playoff experience" is one of the dumbest ever. Would you not want Hischier playing over Zajac because of playoff experience? Surprisingly enough, to get playoff experience one needs to actually play in the playoffs.

blocking seven shots means you had to let your opponent shoot a bunch against you. blocking shots is extremely overrated.

I personally will be more than happy if the devils can win 2 games in this series. One at home at least. It's been my first year following the team and it has been such exciting hockey to watch. Its also very nice to finally see Hall in the playoffs, he had a tough go in Edmonton.
