Question to all.

Does Stan do the trades or is it by committee?

I was wrong. Very wrong. Very very very wrong as Saad scored 36 points and Panarin scored 82 and single-handedly he and Seth Jones beat Washington in their playoff game.

It's o.k. my frent, we're all wrong sometimes.

The doctors in Chicago that didn't diagnose Bicks were wrong and they cost us Teuvo.

That's life but the playoffs are entertaining this year.

Stan has shown a good ability to identify offensive talent, but his track record on defense both via draft, signing, and trade has been quite awful. The Sun Times had an article today about a Top 4 5v5 Dman being priority #1 this season, and then listed some of the infamous names that Bowman has brought to Chicago over the years....Sheldon Brookbank … David Rundblad … Kyle Cumiskey … Trevor Daley Viktor Svedberg … Michael Kostka … Adam Clendening … Klas Dahlbeck …Trevor van Riemsdyk … Tim Erixon … Christian Ehrhoff … Rob Scuderi … Michael KempnyErik Gustafsson … Gustav Forsling … Jan Rutta … Connor Murphy …

"It’s a particularly vexing problem for the Hawks. After Murphy’s disappointing transition season, Bowman still seems to have a blind spot for defensemen. And Quenneville’s defensive system seems to be problematic for almost any newcomer. It’s the Hawks’ plight in a nutshell: they’re getting older and younger when they need to get better."

Preach! I should have clarified that point. I'm hoping that they figure out how to better defend next year. If you have a bunch of new faces, maybe a system that is hard to grasp isn't the best thing to use. I also hope they are able to identify some d-men that are more stay at home than offensive. Hillman didn't look too bad, but I think we need some more experience there.

I'm wrong all the time....just ask my wife.

I'm trying to take the positive out of this year. The Hawks had some young talent step up (Schmaltz and Debrincat) and they could play significant roles in the team going forward. We have some prospects who continued their development nicely (Jokiharju, Sikura and Mitchell) and hopefully they can make contributions in the next couple of seasons. There are some other youngsters who could improve significantly next season too (Hayden, Hinostroza, Kampf).

But most of all...winning the draft lottery and picking first overall.

(frank) Toews! He should be writing letters to Enzo and hawkster and everyone else about his decline in play and why it happened and what he's going to do about it.

Another fail! How many more goals would he have had if he'd spent time in RFD???

In the 3 months that you have been "contributing" to this blog, I can count on one hand the # of posts that actually pertain to the Chicago Blackhawks. Pretty much every post is an attack on other contributors. SAD! Have you always been a bitter and hateful person or does the internet anonymity make you feel like a big man where you can belittle and curse out other people without repercussions? Keep it classy bud!

Would love to have Hossa as part of the strength/conditioning team. In 2011 the team my buddy was coaching got to visit the Hawks training facility and he said Hossa was there and was an absolute MONSTER. Huge, shredded, and legs like cannons.

Powers article in today’s The Athletic:

https://theathletic.com/3...-educational-path-to-nhl/

Fortin using the Rockford opportunity to learn and become a more complete hockey player.

I don’t know if AdB would have more goals with some time in the “A”, but the development time down there would have certainly helped his overall professional game.

You need to chill out, you seem to get into nonsense arguments with multiple people on this board. The common thread between all of the childish namecalling and rude behavior seems to be you.

Either talk about hockey or don't post here anymore.

Apparently the flames might be willing to trade Brodie or Hamilton for scoring help. Hamilton would slot in with Keith nicely. Likely cost Debrincat though. Or maybe the higher 1st this year.

I would say no since Q had no idea of the 2 trades last offseason or yes and Q is not involve in those decisions he should be

The hammer one I can see him not knowing/OK'ing. But wasn't Saad a player Q really liked (after his initial stint/dog house visit)? I can see Q being on board and knowing about the Saad/Panarin trade.
