No way was that the case, because some members, including Jimbro couldn't take his repeated daily "tanking" comments, and disappeared from posting here during this past Fall. - RangerSaver
LOL so because Jimbo left, Burton is a devils fan?
I mean, being completely honest and I don't think people would disagree, but we've all seen Jimbo completely blow his top multiple times because he doesn't agree with someones views or opinions. I'm sure he appreciates you looking at him as the end all be all of Ranger fans, and I in fact expect to see an update to his profile stating such now that you have confirmed it

Lol everything you write is the longer drawn out version of a very simple statement, fact or idea. I love it.
Are you getting paid by the word (be honest!) ?? - MiloslavHorava

The Boston Globe on Karlsson and the Rangers:
Ottawa general manager Pierre Dorion’s next move is to seek a trade partner with ample reserves: both in the futures market, and also in funds. Jeff Gorton fulfills both criteria.
The Rangers GM is in good shape after initiating a brisk teardown. It was painful for the Original Six franchise to deal away Ryan McDonagh, J.T. Miller, Rick Nash, and Michael Grabner. But Gorton and his scouts are happier to have picks bulging from their pockets. At the draft in Dallas, the Melrose native could be winded following the five visits to the podium he could make in the first two rounds. At the same time, depending on how he approaches his restricted free agents, Gorton could have $10 million-plus available to pay Karlsson beginning in 2019-20.
It’s possible Gorton could follow former colleague Don Sweeney’s direction in 2015, when the Bruins kept all of their six picks in the opening two rounds. Or he could package some of those selections and dangle them in Dorion’s face. Ottawa has just one pick in the first three rounds: Pittsburgh’s No. 1 pick, courtesy of the Derick Brassard trade. Dorion desperately needs to get back in the draft game. Gorton can help him do so.
Karlsson would be an excellent No. 1 right-side defender ahead of Kevin Shattenkirk. Karlsson, perhaps in partnership with Brady Skjei, could help the Rangers gain traction in their rebuild. Karlsson would be another good example for Swedish teenager Lias Andersson, the No. 7 pick from 2017, to follow. Broadway can always use another star. |

for the amount of assets it's going to take to just get him here, plus whatever his next contract will be i dont see how the rangers pull the trigger.
maybe if they never signed shatty? |

This article is about 7 months old. I’d be very concerned with giving up assets, then handing Karlsson a 7-8 year deal. Fantastic player but I think the team that he signs his next contract with is going to get burned. |

Same here. As much as I love Karlsson, that ankle is going to end his career prematurely. Stay away and throw that money at JT.
Besides, a full healthy year of Shat should be a boon to the blue line. |

So you’re saying that the Devils having more points at the end of the season is why they are in the playoffs instead of the Panthers? Fascinating. - Mr.Bobby
I was inferring that in the end, the Panthers hurt themselves in missing out by 1 point for the 2nd Wild Card spot, due to losing 5 of a possible 6 points they should have earned down the stretch, in 3 points against Ottawa (Loss at home & an OTL on the Road), and a home loss to Edmonton.
But also, the Devils in effect, made the postseason by that 1 point due to both their great (9-2-0) start through Nov. 1st, and (10-3-1) to end the season, for a combined 39 of 50 possible points.
But in their 57 games in between, they only went (25-24-8) for a .439 winning %, and only 58 of 114 possible points.
So their great combined opening and closing two stretches play, comprising only 30% of the season, earned them their playoff spot, while for the other majority 70% of the season in between, they played to only a 83 total points pace for a full 82 game season, (which would have been only 6 more points than the Rangers had earned in their horrible season).

The word that I saw here back then, had stated what I recalled and replied earlier to you with. I may have even been sent a message by someone here as to that back then, since I remember posting myself for Jimbro to return, after others were wondering what happened to him.
I did not say what you are insinuating by what you wrote here, in that ,"Because Jimbro Left, Burton Is A Devils Fan". Those are your words, & not mine. |

Things that I've learned today:
1. Dundee hates everyone.
2. Tom is a Devil fan.
3. And the Devils had a great start, a so-so mid, and a great finish.
