When Seattle comes on board in a couple of years they will probably be assigned to the Pacific division putting 9 teams there. Who do you think will move to the Central?
With Seattle there will be five teams in states and provinces bordering the Pacific. Doubt if they separate Calgary and Edmonton. That leaves Vegas or Phoenix as the likely candidate. - boilermaker100
I think I heard it would probably be Arizona. |

Thanks JJ!
It wasn't easy taking over for you but it was in the same respect as you had built up such a great community here!
Appreciate it and keep up the good work at The-Rink. |

If our core (19, 2, 7, 50) are not healthy/effective next year, none of that matters. Needs to be said again to Stan. What is the status with these guys, especially 19 and 50? |

For the right price, couldn't be be a decent 2/3C depending on the blender? He'd provide decent depth down the middle |

I see Stan doing something drastic with the hawks pick. He will trade down with a team that is willing to switch picks and include a player. Possible trade partners are Philly ,NYI (second pick) or NYR. Stan wants Bode Wilde but he is not projected as a top 10 pick. Plus Stan must do something at the draft to create a buzz. If the hawks are choosing between 4 and 10 Stan will trade the pick and try and get a pick and a Dmen in return. The only way this will not happen is if the hawks move up to a top 3 pick. And even if that happens Stan may trade down. Also remember about 8 thousand people did not renew there season tickets. He will do something Dramatic to create a buzz. Lets just hope it is the correct thing. I do not have much confidence in Stan and MCego. |

Just curious what makes you think that is Stan's target. Regardless We are winning the draft and Dahlin will be a great addition to our team! |

Can they sign Onnit and not give any of it to Toews?
Those two moves alone may be enough... |

How do you know that stan blowfart wants Bode Wide? As far as I m concern boquist hughes hobson should be the drafted if they are still there when the hawks pick wahstrom velno tkachuck should be the forwards. Say Ottawa buys out ryan or Edmonton buys out luci does that peek anyone interest if the could get either on or both on short term contracts say 1or 2 years at 2 to 3 mill something along those lines. Spezza to me would look great in a hawks uniform big center can skate WIN FACOFFS and add depth to the center position slot smaltz on the lw where he should be in my opinion.
Wahstrom/Tkachunk toews dcat
smaltz Spezza kanes
saad AA wingles
Martinsin beagle hayden
hino extra forward or trade him for a big nasty forward
kieth seabrook
moore murphy

You know this how? Or just wild speculation?
I think a top 3 pick would be buzz enough. |

Kovalchuk to the Rangers does not make much sense for either side....NYR just blew up their entire team for a full rebuild with youth, and soon to be 35yr old Kovy was quoted saying he wants to play for a Cup. What am I missing here as far as the fit for either party..... |

I am thinking that Stan's ties to the Mission hockey club will show. Hartman, Schmaltz, hinostroza, Louis are all Mission player . All coached by Anders Sorensen. Bode played for the Mission before he went to the NDTP. It would not be a reach if the Hawks fell in the lottery to 10 or 11. Bode is projected to go between 12 and 16. Stan can use that pick to trade down get the guy he knows and get a player. If you read Wiz's reviews on Bode it would not be a horrible pick at 12-15. As I said if the hawks get in the top 3 Stan may use the pick to get a NHL player and get the guy he likes too. Would you trade the 4th pick to philly for the 15th pick and Robert Haag or Sanheim and 1 of there goalie prospects ? Maybe. |

Sikura should be in Rockford developing hino is nothing more than a depth forward
Spezza might be but can win faceoffs better than smaltz and AA at least he used the last time watched him. |

A real displeasing move if Bowman trades down. I want to see a future core player from the early first choice. Trade most anyone and even the second #1 for a second pair guy. If Sikura works out you have one more skill but smallish forward. You also have Anisimov. Anisimov is not desirable in a trade for a commodity valued highly like that second pair dman. So you could try trading Anisimov for a prospect, or exchange of draft choices. That may the assets a team wants for their experienced second pair dman. As some rookies grow another year in the league, and or rookies also come into play, look hard at those teams .....they might have dman we can trade for. |

OK sorry I read it wrong. It came off like you had some knowledge regarding this. I kind of see where you are going with this. However if there is a better player skill wise and that fits an immediate need on the roster you take him. I would not like to see" I'm not the man Stan " making an moves like what you described. For Phuck sakes Stan phucks up a one car funeral! |
