Preds ought to know not to take any team lightly as they were the 16th seed last year. That being said, I hope they finish the Avs in short order. GO PREDS!!

The Kerfoot - Butcher trade propels both teams into the playoffs and maybe a cup final. Outstanding!

Congrats guys! Now send the Preds home!

Just wondering what you guys thought. on this:

Now I admit I am a biased Blues fan, but man in what world is that not conclusively offside? There is clearly white in between the puck and the blue line. That call could have turned the whole momentum of the game around. In the end the Blues missed the playoffs because of that nasty 10 game loosing streak and I think the Avs definitely deserved it more, but man the NHL has got to get its crap together!!!!

its the conclusive on the ice call...it was called a goal and there was not "conclusive evidence" to over turn it...its just a stupid weasel clause wording in the rule that the NHL hides behind. What is that "white" is that the ice, is that snow, what is it, is that just the angle of the shot and a grainy pixel making it seem worse than it is?...this is how dumb they are with these rules,

Avs fan would have been rioting if the Blues got in the playoffs if they were tied bc of the early season blown call.

I mean the 10 game losing streak hurt but trading away one of your top players in return for picks and a prospect doesn't help your playoff chances either... Blues management deserved to miss out by one point after that move

We traded him because of the streak. This team wasn't going to go anywhere even if we made the playoffs. I honestly think we'd still be here in the same position with or without Stastny. I'm glad we got a 1st and decent prospect for him instead of potentially loosing him for nothing. Knowing Stastny he'll probably re-sign this summer to the Blues anyways....

I remember that too. I knew it was the wrong call then as well. I'm waiting for the NHL to issue our apology. I think this year will go down as the year of poorly reviewed calls. Let's just go back to the old days of not being able to challenge anything if the NHL consistently going to get the call wrong over and over. I'm surprised this is not getting more press too...

When watching the game, with the angles they showed you could tell it was really close, but they couldn't come up with a frame that showed it as clearly offside. Though the frame-rate they were showing in the replay seemed very poor. This frame is the same, looks very close but you can't clearly see that it's offside.

BTW, if it was overturned, would they have had to put a minute or whatever it was back on the clock and the pp?

I mean I clearly see white in between the puck and the line, but again I am biased ha. Yeah the clocks would have been reset to when the puck crossed the line for the offsides call.
