one of the youngest teams in the league. If you think a team that has 5 rookies playing any given night are going to be firing on all cylinders consistently to give them that balanced line up... Still a process but the pieces are there

Losing your number 1 goalie and Number 1 Dman twice to long term injuries also doesnt help the situation. But they keep on battling through this.

I have faith in them but either way its been one hell of a fun season and im happy to see that progress and on the right track with this rosters build

I must now feel shame. Even though it was told to me many many many times I did doubt the Coga-Meister when he said the Avs are back. Shame shame & more shame feeling me.

I'm glad one of those calls finally went our way but I definitely understand your frustration.
It's almost like they are flipping a quarter or playing Rock/Paper/Scissors at HQ to make those calls because you can't tell from one game to the next what the actual STANDARD IS.

The bad part is, I don't even know how they are going to fix it. What are they going to do? Have a video review of the video review? Not to MENTION the fact that it took freakin' SEVEN MINUTES to make the (questionable) call.

I honestly think they need to get rid of the video review for offsides. I don't mind them using it for goalie interference (even though THOSE calls are HIGHLY subjective) or maybe even for determining if a puck was tipped when being put out of play in your own zone.

But we all watched the same reviews over and over and I can almost guarantee you not a SINGLE Avs fan TRULY believed that goal wouldn't be disallowed.

As far as the naysaying goes about playing Nashville:

If Bernier and Mack play like they did last night, I think we can give Nashville a run for their money. As lackluster and indeed lackadaisical as the Avs have been the last few years, I was pleasantly surprised to see that level of intensity show up WHEN IT MATTERED.

I honestly didn't know for sure if this organization still had that spark...

The better team has won last night... Bad call or not. The Avalanche outplayed the Blues. Without the greatness of Jake Allen, it would have been a blowout.

I doubt it changes the game as the Blues were out of gas and losing Tarasenko pretty much put the nail in our coffin. But that was off-sides.

The play earlier in the year shouldn't have been able to be overturned because of their mistake, but the play was also off-sides there.

You better hope there isn't another one in the playoffs. I doubt you would get the call in your favor again. They have run out of reasons to rule in favor of the Avs.
