I don’t want Washington either. We need that 3 spot. They’ve played Pitt well this year, Pitts played an awful lot of games the past few years and probably have the most questionable goaltending out of the possible teams the Devils can wind up with.

Boston/Tampa seems like the nightmare scenario. Caps/Penguins seems manageable in the sense that it would potentially be the easiest route to a first round win.

I know we haven't had the best success against Washington this season and they wouldn't be my first choice matchup, but I think over 7 games our depth can expose them a bit.
