I'll admit, I thought Mueller played well last night. And Zacha is a legit 2C IMO. Love his development this year.

On a much separate note, to those who saw the Devils broadcast, it was embarrassing , if not comical, for Daneyko to defend the too many men on the ice penalty on the Devils. They had 8 skaters on the ice and Daneyko claimed they deserved a pass!

Maybe I just don't notice it as much but Mueller doesn't make as many stupid plays that result in a goal against compared to Lovejoy. I could be wrong though.

As for the too many men penalty, Grabner was skating towards the bench then changed his mind and played the puck. Thats on him.

Oh no doubt it's on him. I just thought the defense of the call was comical...and I can't stand Daneyko in the booth.

Hope you're right. But hopefully this isn't just one of his spurts and then nothing for extended periods of time. Good to see him playing the way he is.

6 games left. Three against playoff teams (PIT who we're 3-0 vs, and TOR and WSH late in the season who will likely be resting a lot of their top guys with not much to play for). Three against non playoff teams, NYI and MTL should be sure wins for a team that needs them, I'm sure NYR would love to play spoiler on Tuesday. If this team plays as hungry as they have been lately, they could realistically go 4-2-0 in the remaining games. That would put them at 96 points which should get them in. If they can turn that into 5-1-0 with 98 points that'd be really nice.

Panthers even with their games in hand have a tougher schedule with Boston three times (who's trying to overtake Tampa), Toronto tonight and Nashville next week. They still have three back to back scenarios as well. 5-2-1 gets them to 96.

Flyers have not been playing well lately, they've got a very hungry Avs team tonight and still a game vs Boston. We've got a game in hand on them. 3-2-0 gets them to 96. The way things have been going for them, 1-0-4 can also get them 96...

I think Columbus is in at this point baring a major collapse. Same for the Pens. Race will likely come down to the last weekend.

Good thing is he picked up where he left off before injury, he is showing progress and confidence

The team looks better with him in the line up

They sure do. I've mentioned it before but it would do wonders for this team if he could solidify that 2C position behind Nico. They're a much better team when he's on his game.

We better never see a lineup again this season where noesen is scratched for Stafford. NEVER

I was at the game and keeping on eye on Mueller. He seemed decent. I thought some of his passes were good and he looked OK. I'm hopeful he can continue to improve.

That said, he sure doesn't play like a guy with his size. He seems a little slow to read plays too. I'm old school and have nothing against a good shut down defender without much offensive upside. But Mueller doesn't seem to be that type of guy either.

Sometimes I think I see why the Devils wanted to take a chance on him but I'm not confident he's going to get much better then he is. I'm certainly hoping he has more upside.

Noesen plays like an old time Devil. Hard on the puck. Hard on the boards and willing to go to the front of the net. A great pickup by Shero.

I'm NOT defending Stafford..... but I was at the game last night Noesen had a BRUTAL first. He was saved by late heroics. He had some costly turnovers and bad play overall.

He's brought fewer goals and fewer assists in more games then Noesen! But yeah, the kid plays hard every shift and it's great that he's actually been putting up points. It's not like looking at Stephen Gionta and admiring the efforts but realizing you're getting 5 goals a year.
