Edjsell with a couple nice plays with the puck early on. He's got a very short stride for how long his legs are. Not a great skater, but moves well enough. PP1 look for Big Vic as well.

At the game tonight and I have to say this kid can move really well for a big guy. Faster in person then on TV. Bad play defensevely on the first sharks goal but other than that really good game so far.

Edjsell doesn't look half bad for a guy who is new to the NHL. He doesn't look lost like Martinsen seems to be 75% of the time.
- breadbag

You csn see the skill in the three or so scoring chances. I do suggest he might be a bit slow but a tall guy will have reach. He grasps/willing to come back defensively but he is probably doing exactly what the coach said to do. They probably simplified his role but said to make an effort. He just looks not too fast but his head is on a swivel this quick ascension to NHL. Here is Edjsell whom could make Anisimov expendable next year. Let's just mark that down as a possibility and see how the team stacks up throughout next season

Rockford is up, 2-0, vs Manitoba, a top team in the league. The Moose have several players on recall to Winnipeg, though. Whom else but Samuelson scored again. I dk if Winnipeg owns rights or if Rockford does. Franson has the other goal. Cagey veteran is a big help to Icehogs. Icehogs make playoffs then the season extended for at least some prospects.

I'd like to see the width of the Leg Pads reduced, as well.

I would second that.

Evander Kane is freakin good at hockey, the rest is noise bc of the wannabe Puritan hockey community. Would LOVE to sign this guy if the goal is winning a Cup while they still have Keith at top pair effectiveness. He's only 26 and a prototype 1st line Power Forward.

I dk how a collegiate free agent slips through the cracks especially by senior year. But Daniel Brickley is making the rounds.

I suppose if Bowman dud sign him then they could concentrate on picking one of three great sounding forwards. Bowman then might have an extra elit defenseman prospect to trade.

Duncan Keith is just plain terrible again tonight. I guess Q has told him and 7 to employ the TANK to the best of your abilities. Of course Konroyd blames a pathetic pass in period 1 on the new kid.
And Keith's effort on the E Kane breakaway was a joke. Much more of the same to finish out the season from our #1 dman I'm sure.

Beat cleanly to the net by one of their young guys, too. Where's Jeff Glass for the last 2 weeks??

Samuelson continues to play well in Rockford. I wonder if he’s played well enough to earn an NHL contract next season.

Edjsell definitely a project due to his skating which seems to have slowed as the game wears on. What an outstanding individual effort to draw a penalty by 88 going basically 1v4

I like what I’ve seen of The Ejd (edge) tonight.

I see it's Ejdsell, but my autocorrect wants to write Edjsell. He's big with good hands and offensive instincts but not overly strong for his height.

I think he looks like he doesn’t quite know where to go on the ice - perhaps makes him look slower than he is - which is slow enuf.

The word that comes to mind is “lumbering” - awkward, short stride. Maybe a summer with a good skating coach....

ejdell needs a half season at least in the a. But he doesn't look bad. I'm so sick of jurco and highmore why is Hayden sitting? Those guys are just fillers not part of the future same with oesterle we don't have any other dmen I'd rather have franson back up. Martinsen brings much needed physicality but he has some dumb penalties which for him have a roughing or a charge but for a energy player to get holdings and hooking isn't good.

I think the faults everyone’s reported tonight are things he can work on. Some of it takes time to adjust to the speed of the game. His lumbering might be just trying to play within himself and not take himself out of the play.

The kid should get some specific weight and skate training objectives to work in this summer.

He's only 22, and I'd like to think training with the Hawks' program for 6 months could positively impact his skating/endurance. It's ok to lack powerful strides if your feet never stop moving which takes next level conditioning.

If this is Ulfs defense the Hawks have to bring in someone else, these odd man advantages are so (frank)ing frustrating to watch, over and over and over again

Perfect setup for Keith from about 8 feet out...

...misses the net by 4 feet.

That's hard to do.
