The Winnipeg forward depth will rival that of the 2010 Blackhawks when Scheifele returns.

I think their Dcore is just a tad below the likes of Nashville and Tampa though, so idk....we'll see. And the Preds and Bolts are just about as deep and dangerous at forward.

Those are definitely the top 3 teams in the league.

I love Sharpie.. I really do. I even have one of his jerseys... but there's not a lot of room up front and I'd like to see the 12-13th forward be a grittier player and preferably a centre.

If they bring back the exact same team, there's not much rationale for them to get 30+ more points next year other than... "those young guys will get better and the core will be back to normal".

That's why I find it hard to believe there won't be more changes than Stan was leading us all to believe. If he is still in charge and makes limited moves and the team fails again... that's an automatic dismissal IMO.

Is it sure thing that bowman is coming back as gm watching tonight's game just shows he cannot field a team so much unbalance team. I just don't understand how he can come back after his failures at drafting developing and ignoring what obvious things like center depth size and speed but he made sure that to lock up gusterson and rutta. My opinion is Q is gone and bowman gets one more year to fix this, which I have no confidence that he can turn this around.

My feed is about 20 seconds behind, so that had not happened yet on my end, but thanks for the sarcasm.

Sorry bud...I'm just irked by the downfall of the Hawks due to the moves of Stan Bowman. If you add Hjallmarson, Panarin, Danault, and Johns to this team, they are probably right in the playoff picture. Like I said, unless Bowman and McDonagh agreed on a few years of rebuild through youth/drafting, I have no idea how Stan Bowman isn't fired the first week of April. I thought the "One Goal" was for the Hawks to be a playoff team competing for the Cup every year? Due to Stan Bowman's work over the last 3 years, this team is laughably bad.

As much fun as the last 8 or 9 years were, i just have this awful feeling we are entering an undetermined amount of time that could be rather difficult to comprehend.

And we are supposed to be okay with this? This is God Dam Stan Bowman's pathetic work, Gusteffson sucks, Ruutta is a big female cat, 2.5 for that pathetic sapp! I hope they lose 13-1 tonite. Waiting for the Jets to start drilling some guys, but they'll take it easy on this bag of pus the rest of the way.
Where is Rocky? Gotta come out like your Dad and hold some people accountable!
Fricken God Dam pathetic, Every true Hawk fan should be fricken pissed right now! No effort, I'd be okay with a tank but Bowman is gonna screw that up also.

Murphy, Gustafson, Rutta and Oesterle all suck. Seabs and Keith not much better. Hawks need 5 new defenseman.

Add those guys and the defense is still very bad. The team would be more competitive but w-l would not change much

I once would have disagreed and defended Bowman.

But i was wrong.

There is no defending him any longer, as the Kane, Toews, and Seabrook contracts are simply too crippling.

And when you couple that with all the smaller 'roster tweaking' moves he's made around the (overpaid)core.....many that you mentioned and almost all of which have been bad/VERY bad.....one MUST come to the conclusion that, despite our 3 Cups, we should have sustained success for much longer and should still be in the hunt for championships. If things were handled the right way, we certainly would be.

Imagine if we ditched Seabrook, kept Leddy, and were able to acquire a talent that actually developed at the NHL level on defense instead of becoming a dud/bust? And were able to keep Hammer?

Imagine if we didn't overpay the wonder twins....and did better with the Sharp trade? And did better with the Bickell contract? And kept Teravainen? And kept Panarin AND Saad(which should have been easily doable)? And Shaw? And Danault?

Saad-Toews-DeBrincat
Panarin-Schamltz-Kane
Teravainen-Danault-Hossa
Shaw-Wingles-Panik/Duclair/Hinostroza/Hartman

Leddy-Oesterle
Keith-Johns
Gus-Hammer
Rutta

Crawford
Darling

That team is Cup worthy IMO

jet goals

1. fors is in wide open butterfly on that shot (why) and spins it in
2. 56 loses the puck and a board battle
3. blueline TO followed by a weak giveaway by 15 and top shelf goes in
4. bad line change; deflected off 5's stick and in glove side
5. transition hawks 88 and 5 coasting...and another open net tap in

2 of those on goalies...but absolute no compete from the skaters

WTF is it with this team after 3 or more days rest...they poop the ice with consistently when they have days off...

that is beyond unexcusable: not ready to play physically or mentally...

On Sirius radio today several agreed that Bowman should be on the hot seat but not necessarily Q because who would they bring in that's better?

He could be the best coach ever, but if he's burnt out on the team or they him, won't matter at all. Sometimes, simply a new voice and new approach and new things to learn will light the fire. Can't say lighting a fire isn't needed for some of these guys.

Justin ,you owe this team not a dam thing, Start calling these guys out starting from the top down, let them read some scathing pieces by the media , JJ let it fly, the Chicago media is kept fat and happy with the press box Buffet table .If they say something negative, Uncle John won't cook their favorite dishes anymore! This is Garbage , Big mistake firing Dale Tallon, Now you are seeing what Stan Bowman is all about. WAY IN OVER HIS HEAD!

Maybe Forsberg got drunk and fell off a snowmobile or something. Columbus's ex-third string goalie was a terrific catch for Bowman. Yep he's the future alright.
