Depends....who is left available to draft and what is the plan to replace Seabrook (wouldn’t trade Toews). - DarthKane
Instead of the pick would the rights to Dylan Sikura and his brother be enough to get someone to take Seabs? |

Hartman draws a penalty from Nurse, being that agitator that Nash was hoping for.
Florida with 2 points. Barkov with a beauty for the game winner. |

Evander Kane is an excellent Power Forward. Seabrook definitely felt that hit and he started the rush for the tying goal. |

You really want to know what I was thinking, that was the nice way to put it, I hope the Hawks get their asses handed to them just about every game from now to the and of the season to force this general manager to actually get out of his comfort zone and feel the heat, the real heat from up above. As positive as you want to look at things in reality and I know a lot of others feel the same I’m freaking pissed! And if they get to piss beat out of him 3/4 of the rest of the season they deserve it.Screw going on a run, I want to see them get a pick between three and seven. - wonthecup10
The way I see it is, Bowman better hit a home run with whomever he select in the first of the two choices in round one. If it turns out the guy we take is nowhere as good as the first few picks, I want to know if Bowman even tried to get the early pick.....
if he thinks he can rebuild without getting an early first pick, then he will get a rude awakening one year when Kane is out injured and there is no stud left to carry the load - just some nice pieces, good players but not the star players who are the creme De la creme.
I do think we might have some really good bottom line players whom can outplay or neutralize an opponent - let us see how Kampf and Highmore do. Hayden in there as well. But balance that with a very high #1. Is it too cost prohibitive, Stan? Fans want answers, not horsecrap draft choices and you better not trade down like the Bears have a penchant to do. |

Would you trade the Hawks higher 1st round pick to dump 100% of Seabrook's (or Toews') contract? - EnzoD
I was thinking the same thing earlier.
Would I trade a top-10 pick? No.
But I would absolutely trade the Nashville pick. |

I’ve said if you scout the Hawks just play patient and wait for the Hawks to mess up completely. Up 1 - 0 Dahlstrom goes for a skate deep in Sharks end pinching for no reason other than Ulf demands it. Odd man break for the millionth time. Gus plays it terribly - Goal. Gus then passes into middle traffic rather than safely up the boards and out and absolute chaos ensues - Goal. Dahlstrom a huge Swedish pilon doing zero. Also the Captain has the puck in offensive zone Shark with no stick - shoots it past Keith and down the ice. If the Kale has made you that dumb just retire. |

Agreed he's got jump. The extra days off for the 34yr old were helpful, and it shows.
Highmore blah, Jurco Blah, Oesterle and Gustafson are once again blah. Should be another #Tank night. |

It's like when I used to coach my kids little league baseball games, dreaded having a long lay off between games, its kind of weird witnessing the same thing with a professional team |

Ha. That’s hilarious - I was thinking the very same thing from when I coached my son’s soccer and baseball. |

So would you give Evander a big FA contract? probably take 7X7 I'm guessing with the cap going up like it is. the most of the FA other then Carlson are to old for long term deals we already have already have aging LT deals. FL won, need ED to win. |

Hawks need to go the youth hockey route and have mandatory summer training sessions well before the typical training camp. Get those underachieving vets with big salaries busting their asses all summer to be as ready as possible for next season. |

If Steve Konroyd is going to continue as analyst or color, he's got to grow a pair. I get, accentuate the positive, but many times subpar play needs to be called out |
