The Jets had scouts at the game last night. They have been known to be interested in Brassard, and they got sniped by Pittsburgh with an assist from Vegas. Sounds like they want a center.

Of a trade with the Jets is consummated then i am guessing they want an extra dman. They have a history of three top dmen going on IR last two years. I suggest Gustafsson or Orsterle. I doubt Murphy is moved, not now anyway. Teams usually want an extra puck mover.........that is my guess. I would check Lemiuex coming out way of at all possible. Probably just a draft choice. Anisimov is the wild card. Hartman not going anywhere. At least not now

Saad looks motivated tonight. Toews flattened by Johnson who also dropped Vinny. Love the speed from this forward group but adding a couple big bodies like Hayden (and maybe Josh Anderson?!?!) would bring more balance to their attack. Oesterle and Keith struggling with turnovers so far.

Here we go again with this site and not thinking things through. Powers has reported, and I just verified on cap friendly, AA has a NMC (No Move Clause). He is not going anywhere without his consent. The Hawks are not holding him out of the lineup. He is not going anywhere. As Powers reported, after this season AA has a modified NTC (No Trade Clause) where he can provide a list of ten teams that he can be traded to.

Kane, Toews, Keith and Seabrook are going nowhere. Neither is Saad. Likely trade candidates are Wingels, Bouma and Jurco. That's about it. We won't be buyers and we are only selling our secondary guys. No clue why JJ is reporting that about AA without mentioning his NMC.

JJ always said that a NTC can mean nothing as once a player knows that you want to move them said player may accept it and move on.

The NHL refs are terrible and inconsistent, but I don't buy some conspiracy theory against the Hawks. If anything, they were Bettman's darlings the last decade. Look how many National TV games the Hawks get. What makes you think they are hexed by Bowman and the Refs??

Play should have been called before that play, as CLB interfered in the offensive zone. That is the part where the refs dictate the play, some penalties are called.
