His time with the Stars was short but the impression he made and leaves in Dallas is huge. A true professional in the broadcast industry and a fine gentleman - he will be missed by the Stars community and the hockey world.

Brutal. I normally don't care one way or another for most analysts or commentators, but I have an eternally burning hatred for Pierre McGuire, and absolutely loved Dave Strader. RIP.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and memories! Wow another lost to franking cancer is so tragic! I've lost 6 family and 3 friends from this disease, and know how his family and friends must feel! So sorry for the loss of your friend scoop,and I hope that his family finds comfort in the love that he's left them,and the legendary work that David has left us all!. .thank you David
