What a load of BS. There is no deal that would make the Habs a `SOLID`playoff contender` None. The team has no "1 centre. No /2 centre, either. Any deal bringing in a #1 would compromise other positions too much. Besides...Duchene aint a #1 Centre. Pure nonsense

There's a big difference between a GM pushing to make a trade and two teams hammering out a deal and a GM just answering the phone to see what another GM is offering.

I don't see how the Habs will improve their team. they traded their best asset outside the NHL and what they have left outside the NHL isn't very desireable. If they trade Pacioretty, for example, it just leaves another hole to fill just to improve another area. Imo Habs should have went full rebuild but they're going for it now with very little in the cupboard to improve the team now and definitely in the future.
