sort of.

babcock uses a 1-3-1 setup. matthews may rotate to the top at times as the PP is pretty fluid, but his defined role wasn't at the top.

btw I do think you're right on Matthews needing to be in front of net on PP.
But normally he took the draws, and then normally took left point distributing the play on PP unit 1 (at least to my best recollection)

PP looks strong but the pk is looking shaky on the back end.

I'm not sure who clears the path for Anderson to see point shots on the pk?
I guess barring a trade we'll be relying on Marincin and Hansey in this regard. Hunwick, and especially Polak, will be missed. We still have some offense on the backend, but are lacking on the defensive side of the puck.

I'm not sure overall I see an improvement in special teams.

His response was "I fell great and I am getting better all the time" can be taken in many ways. Most took it as a simple rehearsed response...and it was. But as he said it I felt a sense like not only was he sick of saying it, he was sick of all of the publicity.

I think the Leafs need to get serious about a cup run this year. We should be targeting some more veteran leadership and presence in the locker room.

Something like Nylander for Eriksson and Edler would be perfect.
