EK Vlasic would be great but which side is dropping these hints/tea leaves nothing gets out of Toronto management these days and I am not sure why Sharks would want to move him.

Sharks would want a helluva lot more than Kapanen+. Other teams would offer more.

Tampa wants dmen. It seems a helluva lot more likely that they could put together an appropriate package than the Leafs and more likely they would inclined to do so since their window is now.

Oh and the Oilers success was WAY more about Mcdavid than that trade, although I was not one of the people who overly hated the trade.

First - NOTHING gets out about the Leafs' plans, least of all to a rumour site.

Second - Even if Nylander was on the table, you could be damn sure that management would be after a bigger fish than just Vlasic. Think Johansen/Jones... No chance a 20 year old rookie who just put up 61 is dealt for a 30 year old D

Third - After what we've seen from Kapanen in his brief stint, you can bet that Lou, Shanny and Babs are excited about this kid and want to give him a longer look in order to know exactly what they have.

In summary, NONE of the above is happening.

IF Toronto and San Jose were talking we'd be looking more at a Vlasic (+?) for JvR (+?) type deal with whatever minor pieces needed from either side. Their ages and current contracts line up very well.

Is the Larsson for Hall trade now looked upon as a good trade for EDM since they are still playing?
