I don't understand why you think thee Leafs need more depth at C... sure they could temporarily use more, but overall that position looks solid.

In 2018 when Bozak walks they can sign or trade for a better fit as 3rd line center. Those guys grow on trees. Top pairing defensemen on the other hand.

I thought the Goat did quite well in his short stint. But that's just me

My contention is.....what happens next season if Bozak or Kadri gets hurt?....Gauthier is your third line center.

Plus, other than Brooks, there is not a developmental center in the organization.

The Leafs will likely dip into the KHL, perhaps swap one of their prospect wingers for one and/or draft a center in the first two rounds.

You don't think they'll sign a Boyle type 4th line center who can move up and down the lineup in case of injury? The far worst concern is what happens if Reilly or Zaitsev gets hurt.
