I feel like with how many times Marner tried to come back, it can't be a long term injury. Maybe a shoulder sprain? Hoping it's a matter of days to recover not weeks

Leafs get two players with term. Take a chance on Landy being hopefully as good as JVR but not having to pay JVR money. They get a righty D man.

Avs get a change of scenery. And a nice young player and a draft pick.

barrie? yeah he stinks in his own end at times. Hes not as terrible as everyone makes him out to be, but he has his warts on the D side of things but more than makes up for it with his offensive ability

Ive been barking up the JVR for Barrie trade tree for a while now, I think it might happen if Avs do move Landy and get another RHD in that trade

with EJ hurt, yeah he was. but he had Wiercoich, Beauchemin, or Gelinas as his parter for 3/4 of this season.

When he paired with Beauchemin, jesus christ is it a disaster with how bad Beauch is

Landy makes 5.25 mil for the next 5 years or so.

While JVR is a free agent and will be making 6.5 million. Maybe even 7

I think Zaitzev will be our best defender(in his own end) for a long time. I think he has more to give. After a full year of NA hockey under his belt I expect him to get even better.

But then they sign Alzner.

I think Zaitzev will be our best defender(in his own end) for a long time. I think he has more to give. After a full year of NA hockey under his belt I expect him to get even better.

But then they sign Alzner.
