Going to be at that game. Look for the mad man just to the left of the Devils bench row 6 . Should be a good game though. If the Devils can play with an edge they are a completely different team. Don't know why they can't keep that play style for a whole year. |

The season is still worth getting Zacha some confidence, so let's settle on 4-2 Sens, Zacha with a goal and an assist. |

Sounds good to me except I'd like to see Parenteau with a 2 point night as well to help boost his trade value. So maybe they hook up for a couple power play markers. |

Happy Bennett is back, but I don't like taking Blandisi out. I thought his game of late has been much improved and his energy has been nothing but positive. I would have sat Kalinin. I know he's big but he doesn't play like it. Nitpicking here a bit, but just my opinion. - jersey1414
Ah, never mind. Realizing now that doing that would leave us a center short. Damn. |

I think the Devil should go after Brendan Smith from DET. 28 and is a solid dman. Not for a playoff push, but more for next year and beyond. |

I disagree. We should be aiming younger or higher than that. If not, it's better suited for Mozik, Helgeson or Jacobs |

I was thinking same thing and Blandisi can shift to center if Kalinen is out |

I'm not understanding why they don't move Zacha up to the 2nd line for a look if they are content playing him on the wing. |

Helgeson is a 6th/7th dman, Mozik has 7 games of experience and I'm wondering when he'll go back to the Czech league before he gets tired of being the in AHL. Jacobs is maybe 2 years away and is a right shot. Smith is a left shot and would solidify the left side in my opinion with Greene above him and Severson should stay at his spot on the second pair. Smith and Severson could make a good pairing. Todd also wrote about Smith on another website he writes for.
Younger? Those types of guys would set NJ back. NJ isn't loaded with prospects that they can just give them away. Also, not every young player has to be under 25. Smith is 28 and could be a good dman for us for a couple years. Smith is on the right side of 30 to me. |

I love how Dano said he thinks the goals are gonna start coming for JJ...we've been waiting 5 years |

The words "playoffs" come out of Danos and Debs mouths way too often too. |

Your problem with Mozik can be solved by simply playing him.
How soon do you see the Devils really competing? I'm thinking at least a few years. It's the same issue Im starting to see with Schneider. |

I imagine it's something along the lines of them being afraid to cool him off by taking him away from Noesen and JJ. |

Mozik is a right shot, who you gonna sit, Severson? Santini? Lovejoy is an ex Pen so he isn't gonna sit. Mozik may also never be a NHL dman. The Devil have too many bottom pair guys guys just like Mozik with more experience, Moore, Merrill, Helgeson. I don't think he will beat them out for the same job, considering they are trying to make the playoffs and they are all around the same age, with more experience.
Let's say they got someone like Fowler, for example, Mozik would then still compete with Merrill, Moore, Santini, Helgeson for then only 2 spots. There are only 3 spots right now and he still isn't getting called up. |
