The only thing the Wild have to be ashamed about last nights loss is the soft as a babies ba ba goal that ultimately lost it for them....

Firstly Gibson was absolutely amazing last night. He was the difference in the game. And for the first time in a very long time the Wild could not get even one lucky hop/bounce/squib/squirt etc.... and the Ducks played just enough defense to thwart what should have been a sure loss for them...

Wild played one of the best possession games of the season and crazily enough came away with nothing.

As Mr. Wallace alluded to, can't win every game and surely at least a dozen or more of their current 80 points were acquired with a bit of help from luck.

For sure BB changes teams outlook - Minny looks and plays like a completely different team Bruce did that in Ana and Wash before - It's pretty fun to be a fan when BB is coach - I miss him - JG was not only the best player in the game last night - he was the best player in the league -

I don't know if there is a single position in all of sports who can effect the outcome of a game as much as a goalie in the NHL. The Ducks had no business winning that game, but Gibson and a little luck bailed them out. Same situation happened to Anaheim when they played the Rangers. The Ducks outshot them 2-1 but Lundquist was Lundquist and the Ducks lost 4-1. It happens.

Another thing about Bruce Boudreau coached teams: They never get to the Stanley Cup finals.

It's worse than that. In his entire NHL career, only once has Boudreau won a playoff round against a team good enough to even make playoffs the following year.

BB is a great coach. But the big complaint is he's a different coach once the playoffs start. Great regular season, then flameout in the playoffs. Rinse and repeat. First with Washington, then with Anaheim. I don't know if its nerves, panic, or what. Time will tell for Minny.

Yeah, the fact that Yeo, a young learning coach, has as many series wins against decent teams in 3 years of making playoffs as Boudreau does in 8 is exactly my point. Boudreau had teams better than the Wild pretty much every time, and never got anywhere. He doesn't have any idea what to do when teams adjust to his system come playoffs.

It's weird. Certain Wild fans seem super upset their team is finally decent enough that people are saying it's time to judge them on playoff success, and do so with their coach as well. Though I shouldn't be surprised with Gump, he's only way to respond to any point he doesn't like is by attacking others.

You sure do blubber a lot...

Can't wait til Blues fans are calling for Yeos head! I'll have to remember this thread when that comes to fruition....
